Today we're talking to former high school football coach Joe Kennedy and his attorney from First Liberty Institute, Jeremy Dys. Coach Kennedy has been locked in an eight-year legal battle with his former employer, Bremerton School District, after the district took issue with Kennedy's tradition of saying a silent prayer after football games. Despite Kennedy trying his best to work with the school district officials and find a way to compromise, they were insistent that any prayer he does must be completely out of sight, and now the case will be heard before the Supreme Court. Obviously, the case is ridiculous, as Kennedy has a First Amendment right to express his religious beliefs. But Jeremy Dys points out that this case could have dire implications for the right of free speech in America, as the leftist activists in the school system and justice system who stand against Coach Kennedy vehemently want to push any expression of Christianity out of public sight.

Today we're celebrating Ron DeSantis, seemingly one of the only Republican politicians with an actual spine, hitting back against Disney after the company tried to use lies and propaganda to stoke opposition to the Parental Rights in Education bill. For some reason, the Left is still mad about this law, and many of them still actually think it's called the "Don't Say Gay" bill. However, as we've discussed, all the bill does now that it's been made law is to guarantee that schools and teachers cannot keep secrets from parents and that explicit discussion of sex and gender identity cannot be included in school curriculum. But that didn't stop Disney from raising a disrespectful ruckus about it, and now it's paying the price, as DeSantis has stripped Disney of special legal privileges that allowed the company to effectively institute its own government on its land. If conservatives want to win the culture war, or even just survive it, GOP members all across the country need to take a page from Ron DeSantis' book.

Today we're talking with Texas state Representative Jeff Leach about the potential fate and innocence of Melissa Lucio, who is on death row after being convicted of killing her young daughter in 2007. Since then, a movement has sprung up around her, attracting criminal justice reform advocates from both Left and Right to rally to her cause. Many of these supporters claim that Lucio not only is innocent, but she was a wonderful mom and person who is just a victim of the system. Rep. Leach at the very least believes there should be a retrial for Lucio, as he says important evidence was left out of the original trial. We debate the differing sources of information and evidence and whether or not it should result in another trial. While neither of us would ever want an innocent person to be executed, there are serious questions about whether Lucio truly is innocent here, and we hash out our difference of opinion with Rep. Leach.

Today we're covering two serious topics that the media would probably prefer that you just forget about: the Brooklyn subway shooting and the deadly lockdown that the CCP is imposing on millions of people in Shanghai. After a person of interest was named in the Brooklyn shooting, it was revealed that this individual had extremist, violent leftist views that he espoused online, which, of course, we aren't "allowed" to talk about because it doesn't fit the establishment narrative. Then, discussing Shanghai, we point out that the CCP's "zero COVID" policy is literally killing more people than COVID itself, as the residents of Shanghai cannot leave their homes for any reason. Many are running out of food, and there are reports of suicides as a result of the harsh measures as well. But, as we always try to do, we end the episode on a positive note, since we as Christians know that no matter how bad things get, everything that happens in this world happens to fulfill God's grand plan of redemption.
