How is your relationship with food? Is it one full of deprivation and sacrifice? For personal chef and coach Angelique Santana, food that doesn't make you feel good is no good.
Tune in to this episode: The Alchemy of Food and Relationship
with Angelique Santana.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ There are no rules in food and love. Many people's relationship with food feels punitive and leaves them feeling guilty. It's a cyclical thought of "I know I shouldn't eat this, BUT..." Angelique Santana completely redefines that in her vegan cookbook "Food Is Love." She teaches how what you eat should bring love, joy, and ease to your life by customizing a plan designed for your unique needs.
✔️ We express love through food to ourselves, our families, friends, and other people we care about. Experts believe that food is an additional love language that engages the senses and serves as a powerful connection builder.
✔️ Angelique's journey and transformation inspire people and guide them toward a healthy lifestyle. Going on a plant-based diet helped her lose 25 pounds, which changed her overall lifestyle, and she became vegan. In 2014, she launched Eat With Angelique, a private chef service catering primarily to successful entrepreneurs looking for a way to fuel their bodies with the best ingredients possible.
✔️ A healthy relationship with food begins with self-love. Taking care of our family and friends is a definite expression of love. Yet, when it comes to our relationship with ourselves, how come showing ourselves the same love becomes a lot harder for us? If we want to achieve wellness and be wise with our food choices, it starts from the willingness to put ourselves first.
Angelique Santana is the owner and founder of Eat With Angelique, the small business she launched with a singular mission in mind - to guide people toward a healthy lifestyle starting, but not ending, with the food they eat. Angelique is a speaker, a coach, an author, and a chef. After graduating from the College of NJ, Angelique spent 15 years in fitness working for industry leaders such as Bally Total Fitness and Equinox. In 2012, she earned her Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Halfway through the program, Angelique went vegan for 28 days and lost twenty-five pounds. This experience, combined with Angelique's newfound passion for preparing cooked and raw vegan meals inspired her to start her own business as a personal chef, transforming lives through food, one bite at a time.

Whether you're single or partnered, we all have expectations that arise on days like February 14 when there's a lot of pressure for it to go a certain way. Why not make this year different and permit yourself to plan for your own special surprise! This Valentine's day, ask directly for the experience you want to have and find yourself having way more fun.
Tune in to this episode: The #1 Key To Having a Happy Valentine's Day with Marie-Elizabeth Mali.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ This Valentine's, resolve to be more deliberate about creating the experience your heart desires. Whether you are single or in a relationship, don't be passive and complain when you don't have the perfect day you want.
Suppose there's a restaurant you want to go to, an activity you want to try, or you want your partner to do a particular thing in the house — tell your partner because they can't read your mind. If you're single and want to go out and have a Friendsgiving evening, ask directly. Set it up. And then you get to have the experience you enjoy.
✔️ Manage your expectations. Doing so doesn't mean diminishing them so that you don't get disappointed. The point is that you can participate and co-create the day you want to happen with the people you want to spend the day with.
Invite them to surprise you and be explicit about what you want, set up the day together as a team, and then truly be open and receptive to that surprise. Make that a practice. Whatever the results are, enjoy the experience and appreciate the effort that people you love tried to give you a good time.
✔️ Notice the little things that please you and appreciate the efforts that your loved ones show you. Begin amassing evidence that you're loved and supported, that life is for you, and that good things happen. Write down three to five appreciations a day, knowing that you are training your brain and vision to see what is working, acknowledge the good, appreciate and remember it, and have it in your arsenal when your mind forgets.

Tune in to this episode: The Alchemy of Running an Empire with Your Spouse with Marisa Murgatroyd.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Marisa shares how she and her husband Murray have a unique way of running things. "We're so passionate about what we do in our work, in our business that we do talk about ideas and business and creativity a lot. We've experimented with boundaries, but because we're such hardcore entrepreneurs running multiple businesses serving thousands of people, in some ways, it feels a little inauthentic to NOT talk about business. As perceivers in personality, Pisces, and free spirits, we are in the flow of our creativity all the time. We also just kind of talk about everything."
✔️ Respect each other's rhythms. For Marisa, her mornings are her time to create. "I like to wake up and just be in my creative zone, and I don't talk to anyone for a while. I need to be alone in my zone, and my husband gets it."
✔️ Squeeze in moments in the daily grind and make sure to give enough attention and energy to each other. The couple commits to taking walks during mornings and afternoons to breathe, connect, eat together, and watch a film to look forward to at night.
✔️ Those sweet little moments make such a difference for our partners rather than the grand gestures. Some relationships end up being off in their different worlds and expect the vacation to bring them together. Without those daily stitching of moments, a bigger gap will need to be crossed in the future.
✔️ Being in a business and a relationship are the biggest self-development paths that exist. For Marisa, running companies and building a legacy with her spouse is the best experience to learn, grow, and evolve together.
Marisa Murgatroyd is the founder of Live Your Message, where she turns entrepreneurs into Online Superheroes. At 4'11 and a quarter, she's called the shortest woman in marketing — and that doesn't stop her from having huge ideas.
She's the "go to" brand builder for industry luminaries and heavyweights such as Justin Livingston, Callan Rush, Danny Iny, Alexis Neely and Susan Peirce Thompson.
Marisa helps entrepreneurs create a business that is authentic and aligned with who they are, to empower them to turn up the dial on their "inner superhero", so they can be the superhero to their tribe, as well as in their own lives.

"We're the same team here."
This saying is an excellent reminder for many spouses and partners inside a relationship. We tend to forget that we're in this life together, especially when we have intense and complex disagreements.
In this special episode, I invited my partner Patrick Price to break down how the idea of being on the "same team" has transformed how we navigate disagreements and big decisions in our relationship.
You may have heard me referring to this in Episode 2 on the "5 Habits To Strengthen Your Relationship" and in Episode 13 on "Your Influential Voice at Work and Home with Tricia Brouk."
Let's deep dive into this powerful mindset in this new episode of Relationship Alchemy —Being on the Same Team in Your Relationship.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ We were working with a couples' coach in 2018 who introduced this idea to us that changed the dynamics of my relationship with my partner. It's a constant reminder that we belong on the same team as a couple. Many people didn't grow up believing such. When we disagree about something, we try to fight to the death to win and argue to be heard.
✔️ Couples that forget they're on the same team can't move forward. Do you have fights wherein you're like two boxers coming at each other inside the ring, trying to beat the other one to win? Patrick talks about people missing out on synergy and cohesion and reminding us that as partners, you should be helping each other out instead, like a basketball or football team.
✔️ The best recommendation for couples: give your team a NAME. Why? This helps disrupt your current argumentative patterns and even can help them be playful fights.
✔️ Our genius is separate and can do lots, but we can do a magnitude more together. We often find a better solution when we work together rather than in opposition.

Every time you speak to your children across the dining room, have a conversation with your partner in the bedroom, talk with your team across the boardroom, or stand on a stage and communicate to an audience of 5,000 people, all of these circumstances and environments are equally important.
Award-winning director and writer Tricia Brouk emphasizes that every interaction with other people is an opportunity to effectively communicate using your voice and make someone feel heard and seen to elevate them in the world.
Tune in to this new episode of Relationship Alchemy — Your Influential Voice at Work and Home with Tricia Brouk.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Being in a relationship takes practice. Whether we accept it or not, it can take a lifetime to master our relationships. Can you actually rehearse for marriage? Tricia points out that you can definitely practice the art of communication with your partner or spouse. There are many ways to hone the skill of being in a relationship.
✔️ Strengthen your relationship with your spouse or partner by trying this phenomenal tip Tricia calls "Threes". Implement this with your partner; take turns asking these questions and giving answers.
-What do you appreciate about yourself?
-What are you grateful for?
-What do you love about me?
✔️ As a seven-figure business owner, director, and writer Tricia Brouk's main priority is an amazing and thriving marriage. I commend her because not everybody can value both those things at the same time. Tricia shares, "my marriage is my most successful production." How do you ensure that you and your spouse are on the same team as you grow in your individual careers?
✔️ The truth is that your voice matters, and it's your responsibility to start using it. The amazing, multidimensional parts of who you are give you the space to integrate your uniqueness and be the instrument of a unique message that people need to hear.

What is authenticity? It's become this license for many of us to throw all our unmediated stuff at people and be like, "Well, that's my authenticity!" It's become an excuse for absolving ourselves of responsibility of working with what's genuinely coming up within us.
To me, being authentic is more about sharing your truth and having the courage to reveal your tender places— your joy, pain, desires, curiosities, fears and the full range of feelings you may have.
Tune in and learn more about Being Authentic in Your Relationships with Marie-Elizabeth Mali.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ You and your habitual reactions. Notice your first reaction to a trigger, a happening or an event. It's likely coming out of the past. It's a conditioned response that you've adopted since you were young, and your brain automatically responds to that stimulus in that way. You can't truly be authentic until you start getting to know who that real you is beyond who you've been taught to be.
✔️ Being authentic with others. Authenticity doesn't include control. Authenticity is just realness. It's not about the other person, getting them to change, or about making them wrong. It's about letting people see and feel the real you so that you can mutually decide if you want to keep engaging with one another or if you're not a good fit.
✔️ You and your assumptions. Your assumptions about yourself that came out of traumatic or difficult experiences are not the truth of who you are. They come out of learned survival behaviors and fears around being unlovable or unworthy. It's never too late to get to know who you truly are beyond those assumptions. Get to know yourself better because who you are is WAY more than what happened to you.
✔️ You and your joys. Allow yourself to be seen in your delight when someone excites you and makes you happy. Notice: do you put a lid on your delight because you don't want to seem too eager or too easily pleased? Being an easily pleased woman is an incredibly attractive quality. Don't allow others to tone down your joy.

The award-winning founder and creative disruptor, George Andriopoulos, knows what it takes to alchemize the self and not choose to be defined by his weaknesses and mistakes. Discover his inspiring journey of breakthroughs in this episode, The Alchemy of Leadership with George Andriopoulos.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ George Andriopoulos takes pride in being a father and a husband first before anything else. The CEO of Launchpad Five One Six shares how he had achieved more happiness and success when he did away with unhealthy competitions and focused on the things that mattered in life — personal well-being, family and relationships.
✔️ Balance is a balancing act. George imparts that it's the very definition of the word. It's going back and forth and making a conscious effort to accomplish your plans and purpose with limited time and energy. "Some days it works, some days it does. But as long as I keep putting the effort in to make it work as best as possible for my life, then I am, for the most part, staying in balance."
✔️ Be inimitable. Life is not just about wanting to be better than others but choosing to be distinct. We must make that mind shift as we're taught to compare ourselves to others constantly, instead of focusing on what is your unique thing and how to bring that out into the world regardless of what everybody else is doing.
✔️ Leadership happens in many facets and forms, and asking the right questions is vital. It takes a certain kind of humility to seek help and be open to asking from the expertise and experience of others. A true leader knows that there is much to be gained rather than lost. Putting aside ego and recognizing what others can offer is an underrated quality.
✔️ Learn from your mistakes and learn from other people's mistakes. AS humans, we are experiential learners, and the lessons become more valuable when we have gone through pain and hardships first-hand. George reminds us that we do not need to get cut to know the hurt and hit rock bottom to develop resilience and empathy for others.
George Andriopoulos is an established business executive, award-winning entrepreneur, keynote speaker and community leader with a fierce drive for success and a mission to bring global impact through his work. George is a proven veteran of the business world and has developed an outstanding track record of success in implementing strategies that elevate financial and cultural success organizations. After spending almost 10 years in high-level executive roles within the pharma industry, he began freelance consulting in 2011. While independently consulting for a Fortune 200 insurance company, George received multiple awards and accolades for cultivating sales and leadership training, which spring-boarded him in 2013 to founding Launchpad Five One Six, a boutique management consulting firm.

Sharing an important lesson I learned in the driveway can be best implemented in our lives and connections. Tune in to this new episode of the Relationship Alchemy — your Next Relationship Breakthrough Is Closer than You Think with Marie-Elizabeth Mali.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ There are no limited options; you just need to lift your head and adjust your view. How often do we pick up our heads from what's right in front of us and consider other ways to respond to our partner, somebody we're dating, or a family member?
✔️ Look for other ways to react to your partner than what you always do. It pays to pause first, take a look at the landscape before you respond to interactions with people close to you. It takes a conscious changing of a habitual pattern or automatic responses instead of squeezing into those tight spots in your relationships. It's time to leave old mindsets and habits behind that no longer serve you.
✔️ Your next relationship breakthrough might be closer than you think. How do we have conversations unfold that are generative and bring us closer together instead of driving us apart? Remember, the next time you respond to a loved one can be a make or break moment for you.

We need to change the narrative around what should happen when marriages end. In this episode, coach, speaker and author Susan Trumpler shares the trials and challenges of getting out of a 24-year marriage and how she made it possible to build a good relationship with her ex.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Susan shares her divorce story and how she managed the anger and challenging times for the first couple of years.
✔️ Why doesn't your relationship have to be a typical snipe at each other, "make them the enemy" kind of thing. So much generational and societal conditioning has contributed to this that it can become quite extraordinary to have the opposite experience.
✔️ Why doesn't she call him her ex-husband? Sarah shares, "that is so funny because, in the beginning, I did. I would refer to him as my ex-husband. But as the relationship grew back into a friendship, it felt disrespectful. It didn't feel like that word. When I would, we'd go somewhere, and I'd introduce him to someone. I didn't feel like that word represented our current relationship. I just started saying he was my wasband."
✔️ On why it's possible to be on good terms with your ex. "We didn't want to create that situation where our kids would say: 'Oh, I can't talk about Dad when I'm with Mom, and I can't talk about Mom when I'm at Dad's. Our relationship evolved into a place where we found a friendship again and could recreate our family unit. We spend all of our holidays together now."
✔️Change your mindset about marriage: it always takes two to have made it better. Susan reminds us that whatever the partner's behavior was, we have some ownership of the situation. It will take some time, but acceptance is needed to go from being wronged to acknowledging playing a part in what happened. "There's no benefit of holding on to that anger or holding on to blame. There's just no benefit."
✔️ Ultimately, you have to learn how to coach yourself. Identify what is the story and what is fact from the thoughts that you keep in your mind? The awareness of what's going on inside your mind is the total catalyst for you.
✔️ Susan is on a mission to stomp out the words "I hate sales" for women in business. "It's so funny how women entrepreneurs go into business so passionate about putting something out into the world, and then they find out, "Oh, no, I'm a salesperson". In her upcoming book, she teaches how to become someone who doesn't see sales as sleazy or pushy and embrace that it can be fun and an important profession of building connections.
Susan Trumpler, the founder of Unstoppable Women in Business, is an international speaker, coach, podcaster, and author of the upcoming book "Oh Shit, I'm in Sales" and "Entrepreneur's Guide to Making Sales Your BFF". She dedicates her time and efforts to eradicate the phrase "I hate sales" from the vocabulary of women business owners. The Success Collaborative - her flagship hybrid coaching program is her pride and joy. In the Collaborative, she focuses her time on co-creating customized Success Roadmaps for each member and then invites them into an intimate community of like-minded peers to implement their plans and watch their revenues soar.

It's the season of love and giving. But it's also a season when our stress tends to affect how we relate to one another. When we get stressed out, we default into automated and unconscious patterns that don't generally serve us.
In this episode, I'm sharing a simple 3-step process to help you avoid going into those default patterns and approach the holidays differently this year. You'll learn how to hack your mind in a new way so you can relate and stay more loving and connected with your loved ones through the season.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Learn to keep your peace and become stress-free by following these three steps:
First, NOTICE what it is. Stop and observe the tension that you are feeling.
Second, IDENTIFY it. How are you being affected by this stress? What are your emotions and thoughts?
Third, DISRUPT the pattern by tending to yourself. This may look like taking a bath, having a cup of tea, taking three breaths, walking around the block, dancing to your favorite song, calling a friend, meditating — do whatever feels accessible and supportive to you in the moment.
✔️ The last and best step is to do this is to enroll your partner or spouse to support you in being accountable and help you in your resolve. Pay attention to each of your states and help each other manage mental and emotional distress, so you can both stay positive throughout the season.
