Are you someone who expects your partner to read your mind and then gets angry when they don’t meet your expectations? If so, you are setting yourself and your relationship up for failure. On this week’s episode, Del and Barry discuss the difference between Agreements Vs. Expectations. Unfortunately, many of us have been raised to believe that asking for what you want is unromantic. So instead, we hint, make assumptions, and jump to conclusions. When we are afraid to ask openly for what we want, it leads to misunderstandings, expectations, and disappointments. Conversely, agreements are made when we openly and honestly express our needs, wants, and desires, and our partners understand what we expect from them and the relationship.
