It's Guys all the way down as this week Hosts James and Diaz welcome Very Special Guest Xavier back from Japan to discuss not the Guys on the field; nor the Guys coaching and managing from the sidelines; but rather the Guys even further down the ranks that fall into the category of Assistant Coach Guys.
Diaz is up first and wings it for his presentation about a true Blue Hen (15:30); James shoots the breeze about a Guy named "Machine Gun" who worked with a cement company and somehow wasn't part of the mob (45:41); and Xavier talks about a Lau-sy hitter who turned his own mediocrity into absolute success for others (1:10:30). These Guys may have been assistants to this point, but they'll need assistance from their advocates on the Guy-bunal as they vie for a spot in the Hall of Guy. (1:27:22)

Hosts James and Diaz are back this week and in a rare occurrence they find themselves without any guests, which means it's time for James to show Diaz a newly completed gallery in the Special Exhibits Wing of the Hall of Guy.
After the duo say goodbye to the Say Hey Kid, they share some things Making (more positive) Memories for them (8:10); before James gives us all of tour of their show on the Less-Than-Great Five Guys (18:24). Sorry, no burgers or fries.

Sometimes when a true great comes around, you might say they broke the mold with that one. Well when a true Guy comes around, they make the mold; and this week Hosts James and Diaz get together with their Very Special Guest Xavier to discuss Guys Who Created Archetypes.
Xavier begins the proceedings with a Guy who seems like a perfect 10 but is in fact something else (11:13); Diaz runs us through the life of a Guy who took marathon training to new heights (33:41); and James appropriately finishes off with a relevant story for the last spot (58:38). These Guys have broken ground before, but they'll look to follow in some footsteps this time as we see which one will follow past inductees into the Hall of Guy. (1:21:39)

This week the gang is shaking what their respective moms and dads gave them, as Hosts James and Diaz get some help from Very Special Guest in discussing Guys who also have that same parental gift: that is to say, Guys Who Have The Same Name As Them.
Xavier gives us his own x-cellent origin story with a well compensated member of the board (22:07); Diaz goes the distance with a Guy who reminds us all of his secret first name (44:09); and James shares the fishy explanation for the nickname a certain athletic Guy never picked (1:06:08). They may be more familiar with these Guys' names than most weeks, but which of them will hear their name called for induction into the Hall of Guy? (1:28:46)

If the Guy moves you then pull up a folding chair to straddle while sitting backwards for this week's episode as Hosts James and Diaz along with Very Special Guest Xavier welcome the show's Minister of Sport: co-host of the Shutdown Fullcast and author of Hell Is A World Without You Jason Kirk.
Once the crew introduces Jason to the RTG? faithful with a discussion of his book as well as some Guys from the Good Book (26:00), he introduces a trinity of Guys to consider for enshrinement (54:14). But unfortunately, there's no 3-for-1 special in this hallowed cathedral, and only one will earn a spot in the Hall of Guy. (1:13:21)
You can find more about Hell Is A World Without You and all of Jason's various podcasts and works at his website.

The masks are coming off this time as true feelings are revealed when Hosts James and Diaz get a little help from Very Special Guest Xavier with the three of them gathering to discuss Mascot Guys.
First Diaz rallies the crew around an angelic figure (16:04); then James delivers a message about the highest flying animal under the Suns (29:32); and Xavier tries to answer an eternal question about What It Iz (48:47). The show itself needs no mascot, but these three need the Guy-bunal to decide which one of them will make the cut for induction into the Hall of Guy.(1:07:18)

Scott Norwood, Bill Buckner, Vinko Bogataj - the list of athletes for whom the enduring image is their career nadir is endless. Thankfully there will eventually be an end to this episode that starts with Host James and Diaz joined by Very Special Guest Xavier as the Guy-bunal reconvenes to discuss Guys Associated With Mistakes, Errors, Or Blunders.
James begins the proceedings with a discussion on baseball's most famous osteologist (16:08); Xavier keeps things rolling with the rise and many last minutes falls of an Olympian (37:10); and Diaz finishes it off with the sickest Guy in America (59:48). They may be known for their heartbreak, but one of them will catch a break this time when the gang decides who to induct into the Hall of Guy this week! (1:21:49)

And each of those Guys are worth more than a thousand words, so get ready to listen to at least some of that gargantuan portion as Hosts James and Diaz get some help from Very Special Guest Xavier in discussing Guys Who Are The Subjects of Famous Photos.
James begins the category by getting something off of their chest (20:15); then Diaz Heats things up with a Guy who was a visual victim of a Buck-wild basketball moment (42:03): and finally Xavier eschews the prompt in favor of discussing his new favorite sports Leifer (1:10:12). The images of these Guys may hang in spaces all over the world, but by the end of this episode only one of them will be hanging on a plaque in the Hall of Guy! (1:25:13)

The most important meal of the day this week is the Breakfast of Guys; as Hosts James and Diaz wake up with Very Special Guest Xavier so they can enjoy a nice heaping bowl of Guys Who Have Appeared On A Wheaties Box.
Xavier helps us take off with a Guy who took the early days of aviation to new heights (23:52); James catches us up on an unlikely subordinate officer of General Mills (49:00); and Diaz brings in a kicker who he thinks should be as automatic as the Guy's leg once was (1:05:16). However, nothing is automatic when it comes to the Guy-bunal's deliberation, so we'll have to see who comes out on top and gets their face somewhere other than the cereal box: the Hall of Guy! (1:20:24)
