Remember That Guy?

It's been said that many Guys are just a flash in the pan, but what if the flash was the whole point? That's what the crew is concerned with today as Hosts James and Diaz welcome back Very Special Guest Xavier to discuss Guys Where The Style Is The Substance.

Xavier makes sure we get things started off right and don't drift far off course too early (19:40); Diaz hits the streets in search of a Guy whose style shook rims at least twice as much as anyone else's (35:50); and James gives just a little bit fewer than 900 reasons why they think their Guy is the raddest (54:16). We may all just be teenage dirtbags, baby, but that's not gonna stop Hosts James and Diaz from welcoming Very Special Guest Xavier back for another episode so the three of them can take some time to discuss Teen Titan Guys.

The sun has set on the 2023 NPB Season, and this week Hosts James and Diaz welcome not just Very Special Guest Xavier but also returning friend of the show and Resident Nippon League Correspondent, Evan of Gaijin Baseball.

The team starts off by putting the Tigers on the table and talking about the championship seasoning with 11 herbs and spices, before moving on to a look back at the first year of fandom for our intrepid trio.(11:10) Next up it's time to pick Evan's brain about some pre-posting predictions and what we can expect to see in the ever-changing MLB/NPB relationship.(33:32) And finally, we manage to find time to remember some former MLB Guys that made their mark on the 2023 NPB season.(59:17)

Xavier introduces the category and then his Guy who kicked around the idea of balancing social media and school (21:29); followed by Diaz's Guy and his attempt to both stop and commit inner city crimes (41:55); before James concludes things with a Guy who made a media career strong enough to outlast the platform that helped build it (1:03:19). But that's not our real conclusion, because they'll still need to decide which one of these Guys has the clout to make it into the Hall of Guy. (1:27:19)

8 is great this time as Hosts James and Diaz welcome back their listeners as they begin season 8 of RTG? by welcoming to the show their Very Special Guest, Xavier; and at the risk of being too on the nose, this episode is gonna rule, as they discuss Guys Responsible For Rule Changes.

First off James is sure to bring the jam for their tail, as well as a little Chocolate (18:49); followed by Diaz, who has a sanguine tale both on the page and under the surface (41:59); and then finished off by Xavier's Guy, who knew when to press the rules but also when to throw in the towel (1:18:54). But one thing is for sure: that none of our crew will throw in the towel as they begin to deliberate on which of these Guys won't just find themselves in the rulebook, but also the Hall of Guy. What happens when Guys stop being polite and start being real. That questions is so vexing that Hosts James and Diaz can't even figure out the answer even with the help of Very Special Guest Xavier. Thankfully, though, Xavier brought some backup: this week's Very Married Guest Kaitlyn Perez!
