Jack has been in property for over 8 years now, he fell into it almost by accident. He sold his first flat and really enjoyed the process, which lead him to attend a 3-day property training course. Attending this course made him realise he had always had an entrepreneurial spirit but didn’t know how best to direct it and this gave him the idea to channel it into property.For both Harvey and Jack, realising you could refinance and use other people’s money to build your property portfolio was a big eye opener and what they both ended up pursuing.Having the right mindset, confidence and building rapport is what Jack attributes a lot of his success. People want to work with people and rapport can ‘seal the deal’ for many.Knowledge and network can mean a lot more than money in a deal. You need all three but you can put just one of these on the table; remember that the money doesn’t hold all the cards like many people believe.You will come across many problems when working in property. Some of these won’t be your fault but some of them certainly will, you have to own your losses and be confident when you lose as well as when you win.Online networking can be a lot more beneficial than in person networking. You can save a lot of time by filtering out people who can’t help you and spend more time with those who are worth connecting with.You have to enjoy creating content for social media or it will not have the impact you want.Understanding your audience demographic is one of the most important things when creating and directing social media content. Ensure you are focusing on the right platform that will bring you the results you are looking for.“That was my first experience of the importance of rapport”
