The South Carolina Supreme Court unanimously overturned Alex Murdaugh's murder conviction and we jumped on to break it all down as soon as the opinion dropped. Lauren is a SC attorney and Dee is her paralegal, and they watched every single day of the original as Low Country locals. This one hits close to home.

In this episode they give their thoughts on the 27-page opinion, explain why the conviction was reversed, what Becky Hill actually did wrong, and what a new trial could look like. Lauren also gets into why she never bought the financial crimes as a motive and why she honestly saw this coming since the 2023 verdict.

Southern Hospitality Season 4 Episode 9 — and this one was recorded live as Lauren and Dee watched, because life has been a lot this week. Lauren lost her dog Teddy and still showed up for Channel Surfers. Michols is done. Lauren and Dee are done. The sarong was not for kayaking. Grace Lilly shows up four weeks sober and handles her conversation with Lava with more grace than Emmy has shown all season. Joe claims an entire birthday month, throws Maddie a surprise pirate party she definitely knew about, and Justin makes a proposal comment about Charlie right in front of Mia. Lauren just said goodbye to her dog Teddy hours before recording — and she still showed up for you, Channel Surfers. This one is emotional, unfiltered, and absolutely packed with drama.

We break down every wild moment of Southern Hospitality Season 4 Episode 8, "Chemical Bromance" — from Michols landing the cover of So Gay Magazine in New York, to Mia's mystery crotch device, Joe's birthday party flopping at Music Farm, and the explosive confrontation between Emmy, Julia, and Bradley that has been a long time coming.

Emmy has been spreading rumors all over Charleston that Bradley was drunk and banging on her door. Production pulls the receipts — the text messages — and not once did any of that happen. We unpack why Emmy is doubling down on this lie: she made a racial microaggression toward Bradley and instead of owning it, she built a fake narrative to justify her fear. Julia sees right through it. We are fully on Team Julia and Team Bradley today.

Meanwhile Joe thinks a bar is the right place to find investors (while everyone is drunk), Leva questions the Music Farm venue choice, and Maddie lands her first international gig in Punta Cana — which just happens to be Michols' home country. Trip episode incoming?
