In this year 2022, the summer series of Com d'Archi accompanies the inventory of French architectural treasures. From 4 July to 28 August, architectural walks through houses and castles, both well-known and lesser-known, will follow one another. The first four issues are written by Esther Greslin. The next four numbers are written by Anne-Charlotte Depondt (the voice of the French version). Esther lends her voice to the English version.
In this fourth issue, we talk about the Chùteau du Champ-de-Bataille, whose foundation stone was laid in 1751. In 1992, the interior architect Jacques Garcia bought it, restored it and gave it back all its lustre. From the original order of the rebellious Count Alexandre de Créqui to the work of Jacques Garcia, it is a story of resurrection and durability, even eternity!?
