A page of architectural history in the United Kingdom for a very special replay!
Elizabeth II (1926, 21 04 - 2022, 8 09).
70 years of reign, 7 months and 2 days (1952 - 2022).
_______
Hatfield house is a very large house, a castle still belonging to the same family since its construction in the early seventeenth century, the family Cecil, Earls of Salisbury. Queen Elizabeth I grew up there.
The monument is located in Hertfordshire (North London) in the United Kingdom. If it is referenced very early on in the old textbooks on the History of Anglo-Saxon Architecture, its use today corresponds to that of modern life: film sets, monument open to visits and events _magnificent gardens and park included_ real estate rentals, real estate projects in respect of heritage.
In this issue #23 of Com d'Archi we quote some of the fundamentals, including Sir Banister Fletcher's historical analysis in A history of architecture, first published in 1896, a work that remains a reference in the field today!
