I lose the first battle, but win the ultimate.

One fine morning in 2006

I was not so fine.

After the shower,

I changed into a pair of attire

Which

I had worn yesterday too

To office.

To keep it look fresh

I had hand washed it

The evening before..

Hey NAME,

I was in an mental entanglement

In sizing up my circumstances

So I blamed somebody else

And

Punished myself.

Sounds strange??

Yeah.

To me too.

But do we not do that?

Whenever we COMPLAIN?

Yahi to hei life yaar..

I kept telling myself.

Didnt realize for quite a number of months

That I was wasting my time.

ACCEPTANCE Of circumstances,

is a bloody defeat

ACCEPTANCE Of who I am

is a HUGE WIN.

🙄🙄 A PARADOX???

Jane do.

Allow CHANGE to happen

Shift thoughts to

Another domain

So I thought of  shifting to another city.

IF you see the huge rush in trains

And travels in India,

You will think that people in here

Are always in a flux,

In Transition.

But tell them to shift to another city

They will frown.

They always come back

To their nest

In the same city.

To the same circumstances.

XXX

So was it any better ?

when shifted to another place?

Yes,

I achieved bigger.

I was part of a big set up.

I came in contact with wiser people

Bigger vision.

Although  the problems were the same.

I was not confused anymore.

The FACT is, the confusion was not the problem.

The solution happened with the broadening of the VISION.

Which could have been done at my place itself.

I could have uprooted myself

From a Situation

Just think.   If your contribution gets recognized

And also you know its  UNPRECEDENTED

Then would you bother whether

You were in what POSITION in your organization?

What would be your next GOAL?

A PROMOTION or an even bigger ACHIEVEMENT?

That is what we call as a VISION!

Well Well Well...

Life just gets bigger

And EXCITING.

Last two years I wanted to change the place of residence.

I couldn't do.

Because it takes Rs. 1 lakh to be at hand

So that all expenses the shifting can be handled.

At Delhi.

I somehow managed with

The various inconveniences

That I  had to undergo.

Three months back,   July-Sept 2021

There were severe rains at Delhi.

In March, the Delhi administrators

Had taken extra steps to beautify the roads

So no more kichad

When it rained.

The problem at my place was

The water tank now came below

The road level.

So when it rained,

The sewage water

Came to the basement,

Entering the water tank.

There was no other sources or

Means of water.

Other than that water tank.

So I was forced to

Use that water for those months

And

Even after

For  once polluted,

The water tank remained polluted

Contaminated

Till it was cleaned.

This was nonegotiable.

Now the concern of Rs. 1 lakh

Was not there.

It became a ‘Health’ Issue.

‘Health’ is precious than

Wealth.

And it was not even Wealth.

THE POINT IS...

When you can not

Take a decision with

INITIAL PROBLEMS

You will be presented with

Bigger problems

So that you can undergo

TRANSFORMATION.

That is when you can take a

DECISION.

That is why we are gifted with

PROBLEMS.

If we need to sell, we need to know as to which problem we are solving with that product? That should make us genuinely interested in people.

🧨Give people a great reputation to live upto

Say u r doing it right

Say you have been a hero

Tell why it is so

How have you been impacted

How you believe it has been a high value for you as well

🧨Encourage people to talk about themselves

Earn their love

Earn their trust

🧨Genuinely make yourself interested in people

Kind of people

Kind of group

And

Kind of individuals

🧨Don’t resist their opinion, agree first

Later on you can tell what has been their opinion

🧨Appeal to their nobler motives of doing good

🧨Talk in terms of their interest, not yours

🧨The other person needs to feel important and it should be in all sincerity

If you want to be important to others

You must make others important

🧨 Ask questions instead of giving orders

Even if it is a selling proporsition

Idea selling, even then

Ask opinion, that makes them feel important

Save their pride

Allow them to have their own idea

Any concept is their contribution as well

When it sells.

🧨Use encouragements & make their fault seem correct

See all that they have been doing right

And the few things that will do it splendid

Inspire them to take those actions

Let it make easy for them to make corrections

In all this, it all happens only if you want people to like you, you must first like them.

And it has to be genuine.

Assessing opportunities is not always a function of qualification and experience. It is a skill, to do according one's USP that life moves in the direction of such opportunities

My college and university studies did not interest me.

Sometimes I studied well and sometimes I didn’t.

But Education did not stop.

I read all that interested me.

Do not remember who said what,

but I was impacted and thought anew- many a times

whenever I read compelling literature and watched such movies

I was hired by a company in 2008 which normally hires people with high professional qualifications.

I didnt have any degree of that stature, like MBA or PHD.

I was hired because I was recommended by two senior people of the company.

They had met me in a HR workshop

where I was from a small organization from Odisha that didn’t have any HR policy.

So as part of the exercise, I had to create the policy then and there and presented it.

That was how I impressed the entire class that day.

And I qualified to come to the big company.

If I had applied to their HR, I would never have been selected.

They would have missed my brilliance in their setup..😛😛😛😛

I altered my destiny by being proactive that day, I would say

I could easily have escaped the exercise with the excuse that my organiztion didnt have any HR policy till that time.

Pl note that I dont have any HR mgmt qualification either

Life presents such opportunities

· If you work earnestly around your USP

· Work for a global vision

· And always take the next right step.

Well being n Wellness are two different things. Inability to put first things first wastes a lot of time killing employee time

The perception is

Important things are tough

Tough tasks are huge

Huge tasks require many segments to be put together

Each segment has to be handled by a separate person

Then each portion to be stitched with another

That requires team work

To get completed in time.

It is not always true.

Important tasks usually are not sudden.

Those are planned.

Any planned task is easy to be anticipated.

But

This is what does not get understood.

Therefore, each kills a lot of productive time

Doing unproductive work

Because it was not sized up before.

Not enough time for sleep

Allowing the body to grow

Recap its original strength.

No proper eating because of anxiety

And tension.

How then can  ‘well-being’ be implemented?

How to even monitor it?

Unless

There is wisdom

To choose the big rocks first

And schedule lesser relevant ones

To the subsequence?

As a leader your primary responsibility is to have your team mates evolve. We can have a style of asking questions to facilitate the thought process in team mates to expand their horizon

There are indirect ways I can quote which I have taken From John Eades which can help you question better.

🧨 Have clear concise and consistent communication

Have a 1000 of questions to have more clarity, rather than trying to put 2 and 2 together because of inconsistency of facts

🧨Your goal shouldn’t be to tell people what to do.

Help them determine what to do

What can be done to implement it.

How to select the immediate plan out of the so many each team member might have created

This means speaking less and asking more questions – John Eades.

🧨Be the last to speak (Simon Sinok)

All in the room should know that you have been heard

That they have contributed

You advantage is that..

You have better ideas now when u speak – ask better questions

🧨Be transparent to be truthful

Your vulnerability would build team rapport

Many leaders are insecure about it.

But accept your fallibility.

Take them along with you.

Allow asking questions

Allow expressing disagreement.

No judgement at any stage.

The industry data shows how the employee is at the receiving end, but no leadership growth course suggests that the employee has a role to play to enhance/induce his growth

🎈Package USP and Strength to carve out a personality.  Once that is done, integrate it with Passion to find out a style.

Two steps to do this

§ Do some Self analysis

§ Observe your Response pattern

Did you see the pattern of your thoughts ?

Do you need to streamline to reach to choose between the ultimate?

🎈People will assess your credibility by the amount of your resilience.

The amount of bullshit you can take

The way you can deal with the bullshit of others

How do you treat  a person if he plays a prank with inadequate assessment of damage?

How do you support in times of need

How do you lead the team if an inevitable change is coming up?

Or

If you are trying to induce a breakthrough, an innovation or creating a new trend?

🎈 Influence everybody on daily basis

Reflect on your work on daily basis

Give a positive sense to everything that happens : Blessing/gift/lesson/learning

Watch the trend is always positive

Integration passion with an organizational mission

🎈 Know to grow beyond the immediate requirement.

Life is in perpetual transition.

Learn something that will pay you.

Like decision making skill, or selling skill

The Lesson

We as professionals have a responsibility towards our growth.

It is not the other person responsible, all the time.

These are the tricks we need to adopt if we are going persistently along with whatever we are doing.

When we bring something to enhance quality of life on people, we serve them.

People only pay attention if they pay.

They take  ‘Action’ if they pay.

They get results if they take ‘Action’.

It’s a CONNECT with the audience of course.

From you to them, there is this link which establishes trust.

🎈 Demand from the Audience - to do something which either helps you or them. If it helps you, it should help them also.

🎈 the journey starts with - Awareness Acceptance Action

🎈Selling (Webinar being the funnel) is a learnable skill

🎈There is a huge gap between knowing and doing

🎈Learn the skills of ‘Pre-closing’

🎈Personal problems can be solved if you have personal involvement

🎈Do not wait for your audience to judge, respond or acknowledge you

🎈Controlled Energy is the key- it comes with experience and success – your type can be a bit different, but conviction should speak

🎈Be clear headed with your offer to your prospects.

🎈Approach with your vulnerability, not-perfect but genuine

🎈Add value if you want to increase the value of the course- A bonus perhaps. Remember it takes time to teach anything that you are adding to your course

🎈Deal the resistances : Cost. Belief. Trust. Value. Result. Confidence. Strikeout 90% of the audience. Only 10% are action takers anyways.

🎈For those who are not able to take decision easily, help them with message, more info and offer to match. Tell them to refund if it does not work for them. Please keep tangible actions on their part

🎈Know the readiness, or the risk taking ability.

🎈You can guide teach coach mentor inspire- but the student needs to take action

🎈The business of business is to run the business.

Simple, and clear!

Persist.
