There is a lot of talk about Teacher Wellbeing, but not a clear definition of such a complex and important topic.
In today's episode, I break down how to understand Teacher Wellbeing through both everyday and workplace wellbeing. I also make the link between this and building collective teacher efficacy and 'fit for purpose' wellbeing of teachers.
Let's stay connected:

This week I unpack 3 of the most common unwritten rules I see teachers follow.
What are these unwritten rules? Well, you will have to listen to find out, but I can tell you they are about these three things:
1. Emails.
2. Being tired.
3. The Instagram Classroom.

Someone recently asked me 'How do you stay motivated?', I don't, I stay consistent.
Consistency is one of the 3 C's to Wellbeing Work that is needed to create long-term change.
What are the other 2? You will have to listen to find out.

For a long time, I struggled to invest in myself, in me. I struggled to spend money on myself without feeling fear or guilt, I struggles with using time just for myself and I couldn't find the energy I needed to focus on myself. I was very able and willing however to give more than enough of my time, energy, and money to others, my family, and, my students. I wouldn't even think twice about doing this.
In today's episode, I share my own journey on finally being able to invest in myself without feeling guilty or letting fear or other excuses get in the way. Tune in to hear more about my own self-development journey, what I learn once I realised saying yes to myself was the key to improving my wellbeing, and how you too can do the same.

There are a lot of strategies out there for time management.
However, what we need to understand, is that there is a direct link between how we manage time and our wellbeing.
The solution for strengthening this lies in our ability to do 3 things:
1. Be intentional with how we spend our time.
2. Know our non-negotiables, align these to our values and plan for these.
3. Be flexible, because life happens, and stressing about things not going to plan causes us more harm than good.
Even though things such as planning, scheduling, and working through our lists are also valuable strategies, these 3 main ideas underpin all areas of managing time to support wellbeing.
P.S. This is the basis of a chapter in my upcoming book 👌
