Episode 2

In this episode of the Return podcast we talk about what to do when you are friends with someone who is at a different life stage than you are. How do you navigate a friendship that is on a different timeline? We talk about why friendships change and shift and end up on different paths. We also talk about what you can do about it.

Why this happens - We are in school, doing the same thing as our friends and then in our early 20s we start to branch off and by the end of our 20s things look vastly different for us. People are walking farther and father down different paths. What is important is that we don’t make meaning about ourselves about the differences.

What you can do about it: 

• Stop letting it mean something
• Focus on quality over quantity
• Create rituals with friends who are different places
• Evaluate your friendships
