Rewatchability

Slather on that grease paint, this week we clown around with QUICK CHANGE! Directed by Bill Murray and Howard Franklin and starring Bill Murray, Geena Davis and Randy Quaid, this movie chronicles the hapless attempts of three bank robbers to evade the law and escape from New York (shoulda asked Kurt Russell). Also starring Jason Robards, Phil Hartman and Stanley Tucci, this movie taught us that robbing banks is cool, I think. It stole our hearts, at gunpoint, but how does it hold up now?

This week we revisit the old school with GROSSE POINT BLANK! Directed by George Armitage and starring John Cusack, Minnie Driver and Dan Ackroyd, it's a classic boy-meets-girl, boy-disappears-and-becomes-professional killer, boy-returns-for-his-high-school-reunion-and-has-to-avoid-getting-killed-while-declaring-his-feeling-for-his-lost-love-story. Also hey, John brought the whole family out. This movie was a big "hit" with us when we were younger, but how does it hold up now?

Hold onto to your raging libido, this week we study THE RULES OF ATTRACTION! Written and directed by Roger Avery (Pulp Fiction) and based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho), this movie zooms in on a group of overprivileged college kids who are just terrible to each other. Featuring Dawson (James Van Der Beek), Boone from Lost (Ian Somerhalder), that girl from things (Shannyn Sossamon) and Jessica Biel, this movie seemed deep and profound when we were younger, but how des it hold up now?

Buckle in, this week we're behind the wheel with LICENSE TO DRIVE! Starring Coreys Haim and Feldman, plus Heather Graham, Richard Mazur and Carol Kane this movie is kind of the teen comedy equivalent of those gruesome driver safety videos they make drunk drivers watch. Also featuring the late great James Avery, this movie made afraid to cross the street, but how does it hold up today?

Don't turn on the lights, this week we dwell in the shadows with DARKMAN! Directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) and starring Liam Neeson (Taken) and Frances McDormand (everything worth watching), this comic book-like movie combined elements of classic pulp heroes and Universal monsters to create a fresh character unlike any other; a hero without a face!

This movie made us turn on our nightlights when we were younger, but how does it hold up now?

Get all your privileged rich friends together, this week we take a stand with TOY SOLIDERS! Starring Sean Astin, Wil Wheaton, Keith Coogan and Lou Gossett Jr., this movie is basically Die Hard in a Rich Kid's School. Also featuring Denholm Elliot and Lennie from Law & Order, this movie taught us a thing or two about guerilla warfare, but how does it hold up now?

Howdy pardners, this week we mosey along the dusty ol' trail with CITY SLICKERS, the 1991 comedy starring Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern and Bruno Kirby as three friends who decide to sublimate their mid-life crisis' through a good ol' cattle drive! Also starring Jack Palance in the role that gave him an Oscar, City Slickers has it all; life, friendship, death, superwoman, roping, li'l Jake Gyllenhall. But can it still find its smile?

This week we're on the hunt with Tommy Lee Jones in U.S. MARSHALLS, the sequel to 1993's "The Fugitive". This movie had everything a fug-head could want from a sequel; big action sequences, some familiar faces, Harrison Fo... okay wait, it doesn't have EVERYTHING. Rounding out the cast though is future Iron Man Robert Downey Jr., as well as Wesley Snipes, so we're in good shape right?

U.S. MARSHALLS caught our attention when we were younger, but how does it hold up now?

Help us help you help ourselves as take a call from JERRY MAGUIRE! Starring Tom Cruise, Renée Zellweger, Cuba Gooding Jr and li'l Jonathan Lipnicki, it's the story of a guy who torpedoes his high-powered sports agent career by having a moment of conscience and then has to get it back, or something. I dunno, but there's some great music. It's like there was a buy-one-get-one free deal on songs by The Who.

This movie was a huge hit, but does it still show us the money? Or is it all out of kwan? Tune in and Find out! Break out of your chrysalis and get in the hot tub, this week we combine our DNA with SPECIES! Starring way too many Oscar winning actors, and also Michael Madsen, Species combined the sci-fi horror of Alien with all the amped-up sexuality of a 90s erotic thriller. Might as well call it Sextraterrestrial, amiright? I'll see myself out.

This movie satisfied our sci-fi needs when we were younger, but how does it hold up now?
