Right now in the U.S. the Trump administration is working hard to change not only what their country is, but what it has been, and who gets to take part in it. Government records are being deleted or heavily edited. In many cases, references to women or Black men in leadership positions, and references to trans people have been deleted. What's more, the non-government organizations that collected these histories are being defunded, and that has historians worried.
Guests: Head of MUN's folklore department and Associate Professor of Folklore, Identity, Religion and Politics Mariya Lesiv, Assistant professer at MUN's history department specialising in LGBTQIA-plus history and women's studies Alessio Ponzio, Assistant Professor in Communications and Media Studies specializing in Feminist Media Studies Julia Polyck-O'Neill
