Christian Molina grew up agnostic/atheist for most of his life. His parents visited many Christian churches, but he never felt entirely satisfied with each church. Christian and I try to give a "non-shove down your throat" story to Mormonism. We really want you, the listener, to gain insight for yourself.. No strings attached!! We promise. Christian's decision to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints started from feeling Christlike love from its members. Anybody can be nice though? why not join another christian religion? After all, Mormons are the weird ones...

Burn Survivor, Kenny Matthews should be the new definition of "how to make the most out of life"... After being horrifically burned in a house fire at the age of 3, Kenny, now 33, has managed to become an influencer for good. A superhero, one might say... What is so touching about Kenny's story, is that he STILL went through hell, but has learned how to find the silver lining in everything. He believes everyone goes through trials, but having a pity party can keep you from moving forward. Kenny recently came out as gay two years ago. He truly is a superhero to those who feel different or misunderstood. What a guy!

Brian Hill introduces us to the world of Positive Psychology. Traditional psychology focuses on treating the ill, while positive psychology focuses on what actually creates a full-filling life... We learn that measuring happiness is too broad. Instead of happiness, we use the word well-being. Well-being is made up of five components: Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment. (PERMA) If we contribute a little to each area, our lives will begin to flourish. We also learn what's been proven to not bring LASTING happiness.
Zach recently got surgery on his thumb, so he is a little loopy. I take over and talk about how the holidays can be difficult. We also cover a variety of topics: seasonal depression, being yourself, bachelorette, and dogs. you won't wanna miss out on this episode...
Ethan Hardman enlightens us about the LGBTQ+ community. He shares what it was like to be gay in a church that condemns homosexual behavior. What is so admirable, is that Ethan comes from a place of nothing but love. He shares that being gay in Utah has been very difficult, but he says the hardest part about being gay was actually being in the closet. Ethan helps us know how to respectfully ask questions to people of the LGBTQ+ community. Ethan admits that he once held bitter feelings towards the Mormon church, but has found peace understanding that religion is a tool that can help individuals improve their lives. If anything, Ethan radiates acceptance, sensitivity, and love towards everyone. I think we have a lot to learn from Ethan and the LGBTQ+ community.
George Floyd was brutally murdered May 25, 2020 by a police officer. What was a horrific tragedy, led to thousands meeting together to protest. Peaceful and violent, Haven Trahan witnessed a lot this past summer in Austin, Texas. Although, sobering, it was refreshing to hear Haven share his personal experience instead of through the lens of the media. What Haven shared with me, I believe we can all agree on. We need to weed out racism! Racism is different today then it was hundreds of years ago... It is okay to not be perfect, but it is important analyze to potential unconscious biases within ourselves. Havan advises us to be humble and really try to learn from minorities. He felt extremely touched by many African Americans who shared their voice in Austin, Texas. Love and listening can go a long way. Black lives do matter.
