Richmond's Morning News with Rich Herrera

In our last hour this week, we talk movies and cell phones -- and pay tribute to our friends at Colonial Shooting Academy.

To start with this Friday morning, Scott and Dan critique the now-aired CNN interview of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

Atop the 7 o'clock hour, we once again talk to Hoos Talking co-host (and father of Producer Dan and even occasional RMN guest host) Jim Hobgood!  Scott, Dan, and Jim continue the conversation about last night's CNN interview of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz -- speculating about whether the interview moved the popularity needle in any direction.

In our 7:30 half hour, we talk to author James Rosebush -- whose book True Reagan is in part the product of his time serving as a deputy assistant to the late President.  Scott and James discuss their modern-day hero and the new biopic about him.

"It's Friday. . . ."  That means that the time has come for a check-in with one of our "What to Do in Richmond This Weekend" gurus -- Clay Hamner, of shoprva.com!  Predominantly, Scott, Dan, and Clay chat about Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and St. John's Church (site of the reenactment of Patrick Henry's "Liberty or Death" speech in March of 1775).

In our 8:30 half hour, we are subject to a real treat: Richmond Times-Dispatch sports reporter -- and Virginia Sportswriter of the Year -- David Teel . . . as interviewed by "The Czar" himself, Gary Hess!  Gary and David discuss the college football season, which begins in earnest this weekend.  Let's go!!!

Finally this AM, we check in -- as we usually do to wrap up the week -- with our "Movie Guy" Mike Mayo, of Mike-Mayo.com.  Mike reviews two films -- The Other Laurens and Jackpot! -- and lists a few of his all-time favorites.

On today's show, Scott Lee -- of the Lee Brothers fame -- fills in for John and, along with Producer Dan, focuses on the CNN interview with Kamala Harris (and Tim Walz!) that will air on the network tonight.  Our guests are Abel Maldonado, Col. John Mills, Joe Morrissey, Jim Gilmore, and Terry Cole.  Enjoy!

In our first hour, Scott and Dan primarily discuss the CNN pre-taped interview with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, set to air tonight.

In our second hour, we delve further into the "upcoming" (read: taped) CNN interview -- and we discuss the infamous Vindman Twins of Northern Virginia.
