Happy Monday, listening fam! On today's show, we talk all about Friday's major announcement from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: that he is suspending his campaign and endorsing President Trump for re-election. Our guests are Brian Kilmeade, Terry Kilgore, Brad Marrs, Jim Bacon, and Jon Burkett. Enjoy!
In our first hour, we zero in on RFK Jr.'s endorsement of President Donald Trump, replaying clips from his nearly hour-long speech last Friday.
In our second hour, we continue to discuss the 2024 Presidential Race -- and also talk about Southwest Virginia (which was critical to Governor Youngkin's victory in 2021).
In our third hour, we continue to examine the 2024 Presidential Race, discuss a federal court's non-compete ruling, talk about the upcoming semester at UVA, and check in on the financial markets.
In our fourth hour, we discuss the brawls that occurred over the weekend at the Chesterfield County Fair and Henrico's new sports complex -- and Dan closes the show with a critique of "Never Trump" Republicans (that also serves as a civics lesson).
To start with this AM, John reflects on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s announcement Friday that he will largely suspend his campaign for President and endorse President Trump's re-election bid.
As is customary atop the 7 o'clock hour on Monday, we check in with our friend, Fox News' Brian Kilmeade -- co-host of Fox & Friends and host of The Brian Kilmeade Show. John and Brian discuss RFK Jr.'s Trump endorsement, the now-concluded DNC, 2024 polls, and war in the Middle East.
In our 7:30 half hour, we hear from longtime State Delegate Terry Kilgore. John and Delegate Kilgore talk all about his neck of the woods in the Old Dominion: the Southwest Corridor -- with Delegate Kilgore explaining how vital the region is to candidates' political success in the Commonwealth.
Atop the 8 o'clock hour, we check in with Brad Marrs, of the Marrs Henry Law Firm. John and Brad discuss a recent federal court ruling regarding non-compete clauses -- as well as the 2024 Presidential Race.
As we customarily do in the 8:30 half hour on Mondays, we check in with Jim Bacon, of Bacon's Rebellion and The Jefferson Council. Aside from addressing a religious diversity task force's determinations at the University of Virginia, John and Jim discuss his website's recent inaccessibility -- which may be the result of some sort of cyber attack. (An investigation is ongoing.)
