Happy Tuesday, fam!  Naturally this AM, John starts the show by reflecting on the Republican National Convention's first day -- and in particular, President Trump's selection of Ohio Senator JD Vance as the GOP Vice Presidential Candidate.

On today's show, we reflect on the failed assassination attempt on President Trump. Our guests are Rich Anderson, Hugh Joyce, Brian Kilmeade, Jim Bacon, and Governor George Allen.

In our final hour this morning, we transition to a forward-looking conversation about where, rhetorically, President Trump and Republicans go from here.  Our guest this hour is former Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen.

In our 9 o'clock hour, we check in with friend of the show (and occasional guest host thereof): former Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen!  John and Governor Allen discuss this past weekend's near-assassination -- as well as the path forward to a more civil political landscape.

In our third hour, we continue to discuss the assassination attempt this past weekend on President Donald Trump, as well as peripheral topics germane to this week's Republican National Convention.  Our guests are Fox News' Brian Kilmeade, Jim Bacon of Bacon's Rebellion, and Greer Financial's Michael Greer (who provides his daily markets update).

As we usually do on Monday mornings in the 8:30 half hour, we hear from Jim Bacon, of Bacon's Rebellion and The Jefferson Council.  John and Jim discuss the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, as well as the cultural mores that have given rise to the Left's acts of political violence in recent years.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour, we check in with our broadcasting teammate -- Brian Kilmeade, of Fox News and The Brian Kilmeade Show.  Naturally, John and Brian talk about this past weekend's attempt on Donald Trump's life, as well as the Republican National Convention and the (under-the-circumstances-still-ongoing) Veepstakes.

In our second hour, guests Rich Anderson and Hugh Joyce join the show, to talk to John about the path forward, post-assassination attempt on President Trump.

Next up this Monday morning is Hugh Joyce, CEO of James River Air.  Originally, Hugh was coming on to talk about this unrelenting heat wave -- but, while we still address that secondarily, Hugh talks to John primarily about the assassination attempt on President Trump this past Saturday.

Atop the 7 o'clock hour (at least here in Richmond), we check in with our friend Rich Anderson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.  John and Rich discuss this week's Republican National Convention in Milwaukee -- where they both are right now -- and this past weekend's attempt on President Trump's life.
