Richmond's Morning News with Rich Herrera

First up among our guests this AM is State Senator Mark Peake.  John and Senator Peake discuss various Virginia-related topics (from nuclear power to VMSDEP).

In our first hour, we recount another not-so-stellar night for Joe Biden.

Happy Friday, listening fam!  To begin with this morning, John riffs about Joe Biden's latest round of gaffes. . . .

On today's show, we keep "playing the hits"!  Our guests are Paul Goldman, Sean Spicer, Huw Shakeshaft, and former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore.  Enjoy!

In our final hour, we wrap up the show, check in on the Chronic Care of Richmond Textline, and pay tribute to late composer Basil Poledouris (1945-2006).  (You won't hear his copyrighted music on this podcast, but you can listen to what we played for the radio airwaves here.)

In our third hour, we talk quite a bit about international affairs (from England to France and Ukraine).

As we customarily do in the 8:30 half hour on Thursday, we check in with another friend to the show, former Virginia Governor and Ambassador to Europe, Jim Gilmore.  Governor Gilmore addresses the ongoing war in Ukraine, as well as Joe Biden's well-being.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour, we check in with our good friend Huw Shakeshaft, fresh off of this past weekend's wedding (which, of course, John was in attendance for).  John and Huw talk about the recent elections in England and France -- with Huw lamenting the results and urging Americans to be more vigilant about preserving Western Culture than Europeans have been.

In our second hour, we continue to "play the hits": discussing Joe Biden's fitness for office, as well as the Veepstakes (which have reached the 11th hour, so to speak).

In our 7:30 half hour, we talk to President Trump's first Press Secretary, Sean Spicer -- who's now the host of The Sean Spicer Show.  John and Sean discuss the Veepstakes for President Trump -- and they talk about the options for Democrats, as they continue scrambling to figure out what they'll do about Joe Biden.

Sean also talks about his new documentary, Trump's Front Row Joes, which you can watch here.
