On the subject of President Trump's "bad situation" (if I may continue to quote our previous guest John McLaughlin): Atop the 8 o'clock hour, we hear from one of the former President's legal surrogates, David Gelman -- who talks about the various efforts to prosecute/persecute his boss across the country.
Next up this AM, John talks to pollster John McLaughlin about what he's tracking regarding 2024 numbers. John (McLaughlin) says that, as of now, President Trump is "making the best out of a bad situation," as far as his trials (literally) and tribulations are concerned.
Happy "Friday Eve," family! (Well, for John, this may as well be actual Friday!!!) To start with, John talks to Chief Walt "Red Hawk" Brown, of the Cheroenhaka Nottoway Indian Tribe. Chief Brown reflects on the recent Spottswood Treaty tax tribute ceremony that the tribe participated in with current Governor Glenn Youngkin.
Finally this AM, John chats with Charles Moran, President of the Log Cabin Republicans. Charles tells John about First Lady Melania Trump's recent speaking engagement to the group of LGBT GOP voters -- and asserts that Republicans have an opportunity to attract members of that community in this 2024 election cycle.
At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour this Wednesday morning, we hear from former Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen -- who talks to John about a recent ranking of states for business, as well as his forthcoming guest-hosting stint next week and the NFL Draft (which, if you weren't already aware, commences tomorrow evening).
Atop the 8 o'clock hour this "Hump Day," John welcomes former Congressman Dave Brat to the show. Congressman Brat -- now the Vice Provost for Engagement and Public Relations at Liberty University -- discusses a forthcoming speaking engagement in Williamsburg next week, as well as recent legislative/budgetary decisions on Capitol Hill in Washington.
Next up this AM is longtime Richmond Times-Dispatch reporter Jeff Schapiro. John and Jeff discuss Mayor Stoney's campaign pivot (from the race for Governor to the race for Lieutenant Governor), as well as state budget negotiations between Governor Youngkin and the Democrats.
Happy Wednesday, listening fam!!! First to chat with John this morning is our good friend Dr. Ann McLean, who laments the rise of Anti-Western values in our country's purported centers of higher learning.
For the latest installment of "Giving Tuesday," John talks to Andrew Mann, of Bikes for Kids, about his fundraising efforts as we approach May (which is Bike Month!).
On account of John's absence yesterday, we postponed the weekly appearance by one of his favorite guests -- Jim Bacon -- to this morning. John and Jim discuss the latest zaniness emanating from Mr. Jefferson's University, courtesy of a tenured women's studies professor who advocates "crash[ing]" what she calls "the U.S. settler state" (i.e., America).
