Richmond's Morning News with Rich Herrera

With Super Tuesday and (the end of) primary voting in Virginia on the horizon, former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley calls in to the show, so as to talk to John about her campaign and the alternative to Donald Trump and Joe Biden that she represents.

Here is a fun, heartwarming story for a Friday morning. . . .  Joining us at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour is John's former co-anchor at 8NEWS, Gwen Williams -- and Gwen's daughter, current 8NEWS on-air talent Autumn Childress.  Monday morning, Autumn will be assuming the co-anchor chair that her mother once occupied next to John!  Gwen & Autumn talk to John about their memories from the WRIC newsroom collectively, as well as Autumn's exciting new role.

Atop the 7 o'clock hour, we hear from Central Virginia resident Elaine Beazley, whose family was the victim of a horrible example of what President Trump yesterday termed "migrant crime."  Elaine talks to John about her loss -- which, but for illegal immigration, would not have happened.

As is customary, we start a Friday morning with a conversation about the ongoing war in Gaza/Israel.  ABC News' Jordana Miller talks to John about the latest news from her home base of Jerusalem.

Right on the heels of welcoming President Trump to the show, we hear once again from his 2024 Press Secretary, the lovely Karoline Leavitt.  (What a lineup today!!!)  Karoline talks to John about the Virginia Primary and reiterates that President Trump will be in Richmond this Saturday for a rally at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, starting at 6PM.  (Get your tickets here.)

How does one introduce a guest who truly needs no introduction?!  President Donald J. Trump joined WRVA Thursday morning ahead of a Richmond, Va. rally and Super Tuesday. Host John Reid and the former president talked about his 2024 campaign, the issues, and the opposing candidates in the race -- including Nikki Haley and Joe Biden.

Meanwhile, President Trump will be in Richmond this Saturday, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, for a rally starting at 6PM.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour this Thursday morning, John welcomes his longtime friend -- and Fox News anchor -- Mike Emanuel back to the show.  The two chums discuss the latest national news -- in particular, the rival trips to the U.S. Southern Border by Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Next this AM, one of the Republicans campaigning to unseat U.S. Senator Tim Kaine this fall, Kimberly Lowe, joins John, so as to chat about her candidacy and the various political issues relevant to the people of Virginia.  She also addresses questions that have arisen about her residency.

Happy "Friday Eve"!  To begin with this morning, we hear from John Myers, a military veteran who is running to succeed Abigail Spanberger as the Representative to Congress from Virginia's 7th District.  The Johns talk about the candidate's campaign, as well as some of the issues that matter most to him.

Finally this AM, we hear from Richmond City Councilman Andreas Addison, who has announced that he is running to be Richmond's next Mayor.  John and Andreas talk about his burgeoning campaign, as well as his vision for the River City.
