In the wake of Ronna McDaniels' announcement that she will resign from her role as Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, we welcome National Committeewoman Nominee Jean Gannon on to the show for a conversation about all things RNC and 2024.
Next up this AM is Politics & Pints' legendary token Democrat, former Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman -- who, principally, talks to John about the state of the 2024 Presidential Campaign.
At the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour this Tuesday morning, joining us once again is State Senator Glen Sturtevant, who talks to John about what's been happening at the General Assembly, post-Crossover, and briefly discusses yesterday's "drama" between Lt. Governor Sears and Senator Roem on the Senate Floor.
"Play ball!" To start with this Tuesday morning, and on the eve of a new baseball season, we check in with Richmond Flying Squirrels Assistant GM Anthony Oppermann -- who talks to John about Nutzy's upcoming Block Party, as well as progress on the new ballpark.
For a while now, John and I have been talking about inviting someone from the Men's Wellness Centers to talk about the work that they do and answer FAQs/address misconceptions about purported side effects. Well -- atop the 9 o'clock hour this Monday morning, we finally followed through. Physician's Associate Chris Stainbeck joins John for a very interesting and informative conversation about men's health and what Men's Wellness can do for the benefit thereof.
Joining us at the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour, for an extended segment, is Michael Greer of Greer Financial. Michael talks to John about the state of the financial market and the prospect of a downturn within the next calendar year.
Racing Royalty! Former NASCAR driver Kyle Petty joins us to talk about his "second home" of Richmond, the state of his sport, and an upcoming Boy Scouts gala here in town -- at which he will be the keynote speaker!
Next up this morning is one of the Republicans vying to represent the party in the race for U.S. Senate this fall: Jonathan Emord. John and Jonathan talk about the state of his campaign and the prospective Republican opponent in the general election: sitting Democrat U.S. Senator Tim Kaine.
Happy Monday! We're back at it this morning, starting off with a telephonic visit from good friend of the show Karen Michael, of Karen Michael Consulting. John and she have a conversation about the state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the business community. (DEI may just be dying on the vine!)
Finally this Friday (and this week!), we hear from our "Movie Guy," Mike Mayo, of Mike-Mayo.com, who tells us about the new romantic comedy Upgraded (and teases the upcoming Alex Garland film Civil War -- which really does sound intriguing . . . ).
