Today we embark on a truly sad story of how the wrong relationships can cause us to throw away the most important things in our lives - even our relationships with God!
Even more, we see an example of WHY we must keep a GUARD over our hearts, as we talked about last week! Had Samson guarded his heart, he never would have dishonored God in his relationship with Delilah, lost his strength, been turned over to the Philistines, had his eyes poked out, or ultimately died! There is a deep cost to being.
Turn with me to Judges 16 as we study the life of Delilah.

After giving our hearts to Christ, perhaps nothing is more important than learning to guard our hearts, for out of them flow the issues of life!
Turn with me to Proverbs 4, as we explore what is involved in guarding our hearts!!

She was a judge and a prophetess. She was an exhorter and a leader. A woman that teaches each of us so many things about hearing from God, and then DOING what He says.
Her name of course is Deborah. Turn your Bibles to Judges 4, as we study the life of Deborah on today’s edition of Rinse and Repeat.

Ruth and Naomi's stories mean the world to me personally, because they are NOT stories based on perfection. Naomi had become bitter as a result of losing her husband and her sons, and she confessed her bitterness openly. Nevertheless, Naomi's bitterness was a moment in time - a season in her life - and it did not keep Ruth from following her to Bethlehem and it did not permanently mar Naomi's witness to Ruth. God was far greater than the season of weakness in Naomi's life.
We are all in process - in this process of sanctification, and praise God, it isn't how we start, but how we finish that matters most.
Join me for this incredibly encouraging study of the story of Naomi and Ruth!

“The liberty of those who have nothing to lose because they have nothing to keep. We can do without anything while we have God.” Lilias Trotter, missionary and artist, captures a profound truth we learn so clearly in Scripture, "Godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6). From her life, and the life of today's woman of the Bible, Rahab, we learn the great feats that can be done in the name of God when we are operating from a place of KNOWING who God is, because faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17).
Join me for this episode as we turn to our study of Rahab, and as we explore how this Gentile prostitute faced great fear with even GREATER faith! In this lesson, we can be encouraged that NOTHING in our past - absolutely NOTHING - can keep us from the great love of God we have in Christ.

One of the hardest songs for me to sing in church is "I Surrender All," because I just don't really believe that I do. Think about it - do we really surrender ALL?
Today we resume our study of the Women of the Bible with Jochebed, the mother of Moses, a woman who trusted God and who surrendered her baby in a basket up the river because she trusted God.
What are we holding on to - what are we trying to control? What is God calling us to surrender?
Turn your Bibles to Exodus 2, for our next edition of Rinse and Repeat!
