We now embark on an entirely NEW series here on Rinse and Repeat - one exploring the remarkable Women of the Bible!
In this introduction, we undergo a survey of women in the Old Testament, women interacting with Jesus, and women in the early church and the epistles. As we will see, men and women are equal and have different roles in the Bible and in life!
Join me as we explore these remarkable women of the Bible! With each podcast, we will also hopefully explore a brief vignette from the life of a godly contemporary woman of God, and learn how these women too sought to lead godly lives despite incredible odds!

El Shaddai is the last name of God in our Names of God Series here on Rinse and Repeat. El Shaddai means God Almighty, All-Sufficient, and is a great way for us to conclude the names of God, especially after addressing our grueling inadequacies last week.
El Shaddai made a way for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to be fruitful and multiply, despite their failures and issues of barrenness. El Shaddai is also frequently mentioned in the book of Job, where we are reminded that El Shaddai is Almighty when all is lost, and He is All-Sufficient, when everything seems to be gone.
Journey with me as we explore this last, and very great name of God.

What do you do when you hate yourself because you feel you will just NEVER be good enough? When you feel you just don't measure up?
This episode of Rinse and Repeat is particularly personal for me because this is not just a historical struggle, but many times a current one. In this lagniappe episode, I share lessons learned from God's Word about when we compare ourselves to others, when we accuse ourselves and feel wholly inadequate, and when we desperately need to remember the truth of who we are in Christ.
Join me for this second part of our self-hate series here on Rinse and Repeat!

Elohim is our Mighty Creator God. This name of God is remarkably significant to us, especially as we face those many “I can’t do this any more moments.”
Remember Moses at the burning bush, when he felt he had to remind God that he wasn’t a good public speaker? He was telling God that He had the wrong person for the task of speaking to Pharoah and leading the Hebrews out of Egypt!
What does God say to Moses? “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now, therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say” (Exodus 4:11-12)
God is Elohim, the Mighty Creator God. Nothing that He has called you to do, nothing that you are facing, is too hard for HIM to overcome through you.
If He could create the universe with a word, what is too hard for Elohim?

"Ms. Carol, what do you do when you hate yourself? When you make the same mistake over and over again, and you hate yourself for it?" The young man asked me the brutally honest question through many heartfelt tears, and I was so incredibly proud of him for doing so because it's a question I have been asked many times. It's a question I have asked MYSELF so many times.
So today's episode is incredibly personal.
In the first half of this podcast, we will explore what God's Word says when we condemn ourselves. We will look at where condemnation comes from and how it differs from conviction. We will consider what to do about that sin that keeps us in bondage, that thing we keep doing over and over and over again!
In the second half, we are going to look closely at this issue of self-hate. I will NOT be preaching the gospel of loving yourself to boost your self-esteem. Instead, we will see what God's Word says about why self-hate is wrong. We will see how we can speak the truth to ourselves!!
This issue is so deep, so personal, it may have to be a two-parter... so stay tuned for more!

Sometimes it FEELS like no one is there.
It feels like we are alone, like no one cares, like no one sees us.
Our feelings are REAL, but they aren't necessarily TRUE.
The fact is that God is always there, He sees us, His name is El Roi, the God who sees me.
Join me as we explore this next very great name of God, El Roi.

El Elyon is God Most High.
In this episode, we take a close look at Genesis 14, and how Abram does not give into an opportunity to seek his own glory, but instead gives glory to El Elyon!
As we study this mighty name of God, we will be challenged to give God the rightful place due His name, despite temptations to do the opposite. We will also explore how we can combat our tendency to want to have a bit of glory for ourselves!
Turn with me to Genesis 14 as we explore God Most High, El Elyon!

Who is God? God is who He says He is, as revealed in His Word. But a related question - who is God TO US? Often, our God does not match up to the God of the Bible. We act as though He is not ever present, that He isn't always near... On today's podcast, we begin our second series on the names of God with His great name, Adonai, which means, "Lord and Master." This study has challenged me so much on LIVING a life that reflects Jesus not only as Savior, but as Lord! Join me!

One of the most common accusations leveled against Christians is that we are "self-righteous."
On today's podcast, we learn that the ONLY righteousness we have is imputed to us by Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness.
Turn with me to Jeremiah, Chapter 23 as we explore this next remarkable name of God.
