"Angie is an adoptive and bio mom, former foster mom, adoption coach, speech therapist, and has worked in the autism field for 2+ decades. She knows firsthand that raising children who are difficult to connect with, and who often display challenging behaviors, takes a huge toll on parents. This can often lead to shame, anxiety, depression, isolation, and a growing loss of hope. This doesn't have to be the story. She coaches adoptive parents through worry, frustration and resentment to create hope and joy through lasting connections." - Angie

This podcast was such an inspiration for me to do. Shelby conquered so many odds and she is thriving still to this day. Trigger warning for those who need it. She was very vulnerable in her story which makes us all understand more what a baddy she is!! Shelby is a huge mental health advocate, and her main goal is to make sure nobody EVER feels alone. Hang on tight while we dive into childhood trauma, what life looked like as a teen mom, and how she chose better than the environment she came from. Telling her story gave her a power she didn't know was within her-to inspire.
