WELL I THOUGHT!?
WELL... THAT HAPPENED.
We tried something different today.
Apparently, homeowners insurance is less exciting than exploding toilets, political food fights, and Florida Man.
Who knew?
Our deep dive into the insurance gap landed with all the grace of a lead brick in a smelter.
Lesson learned.
Tomorrow we're getting back behind the wheel with what Road Rage 101 does best...
News You Can Use.
We'll save the insurance seminars for the people who actually read the owner's manual.
See you tomorrow.

2 ARE YOU SURE? — The Insurance Gap
NATIONAL DAY: National Waterpark Day — Perfect timing for summer fun at a water park.
BIRTHDAY: Dana White (born 1969) — President of the UFC
THIS DAY IN HISTORY: 1868 — The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was adopted, granting citizenship and equal protection under the law.
------
The Insurance GapYou have homeowners insurance.
You have renters insurance.
You pay the premium every month.
But here's the question nobody wants to ask until something goes horribly wrong:
Are you sure you're actually protected?
Millions of American homeowners have no homeowners insurance at all. Among those who do, one in five told the Federal Reserve they would prefer more coverage but couldn't afford it.
Renters aren't necessarily doing any better. An estimated 45% of renter households don't carry renters insurance—and having a policy doesn't necessarily mean you've purchased enough coverage to replace everything you own.
Today on Road Rage 101, we're looking at
The Insurance Gap:
How many Americans are uninsured?
How many believe they're protected but may not have enough coverage?
What does "underinsured" actually mean?
And what happens when you discover after the disaster that the policy you've been paying for doesn't cover what you thought it did?
ARE YOU SURE?
Because having an insurance policy and being properly insured aren't necessarily the same thing.

------
GRAND THEFT BEARCAT
Grand Theft Auto apparently wasn't challenging enough.
A New Jersey man allegedly stole an armored SWAT BearCat and took the massive tactical vehicle for an early-morning joyride.
Forget stealing a Kia. This guy allegedly looked at a four-ton armored police vehicle and thought:
"Yeah... I'll take that one."
We'll find out how someone allegedly steals a BearCat, how far he got, and how this bizarre joyride finally ended.

FAUCI'S 15
Everybody gets their 15 minutes of fame. Apparently, Dr. Anthony Fauci was keeping notes.
Newly released COVID-era diaries provide an unusually personal look at Fauci's life during the pandemic, including his observations about his exploding celebrity, media attention and even an invitation to appear on Dancing with the Stars. The journals were released by Sen. Rand Paul as part of an ongoing Senate oversight investigation.
Was Fauci simply documenting the surreal experience of becoming one of America's most recognizable people—or did the spotlight become part of the story?
------
SHANAHAN'S HORROR CRASH
Newly obtained emergency dispatch audio is shedding more light on the frightening car crash involving San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The recordings reportedly capture first responders dealing with the immediate aftermath of the collision, including a report that Shanahan was bleeding from the head.
We'll look at what the newly released audio tells us about the crash and Shanahan's condition following the accident.

WHO'S VOTING?
Who exactly is registering to vote?
The Department of Homeland Security alleges that more than 250,000 noncitizens have registered to vote across four key battleground states. The allegations are already fueling renewed debate over election integrity, voter registration systems and whether existing safeguards are doing enough.
How secure is America's voter registration system?
------
LEFT HOOK
Political violence has no political party.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio says America can no longer ignore the growing threat of left-wing political violence, arguing that attacks against law enforcement, public officials and political opponents deserve the same condemnation regardless of ideology.

HIRONO NO-NO
Same question... different nominee.
During Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche's confirmation hearing, Senator Mazie Hirono opened by asking whether he had ever requested sexual favors, committed sexual harassment, or sexually assaulted anyone. Blanche answered "no" to each question.
The exchange quickly drew criticism from the White House and conservative commentators, who called the questioning political theater rather than meaningful vetting.
Is this responsible oversight—or just another scripted Senate performance?
------
SCHUMER CROP DUSTING SENATE FLOOR
The internet has rendered its verdict... even if the evidence hasn't.
A viral video appears to capture Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer producing an awkward sound while speaking on the Senate floor. Whether the noise was actually what social media claims remains unconfirmed, but that hasn't stopped millions from turning the clip into comedy gold.
Sometimes politics writes its own punchlines.

GOVERNOR MY PILLOW
The Pillow Guy wants the Governor's Mansion.
President Donald Trump has given Mike Lindell his full endorsement in Minnesota's Republican gubernatorial primary. The MyPillow founder is already campaigning and currently leads one recent Republican primary poll.
Can an entrepreneur best known for pillows become Minnesota's next governor?

AIN'T NO SUNSHINE
Changing the clocks may finally be running out of time.
The House has approved legislation that could end the twice-a-year clock change, and President Trump has signaled support for making a permanent change.
Will Americans finally stop losing an hour of sleep every spring?
-----
DISFLATION
Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth... if it's still 1955.
When Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955, admission was just $1. Fast forward to 2026, and a family of four can spend hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars before leaving the parking lot.
We'll compare what a day at Disneyland cost in 1955 versus today and ask: Is this inflation... or should we call it Disflation?
-----
EXPLOSIVE TACO BELL
When "Live Más" turns into "Leave Fast."
Authorities are investigating whether a Taco Bell location played a role in an outbreak of explosive diarrhea that sickened dozens of people.
We'll separate the facts from the headlines, discuss food safety, and ask whether this was simply unfortunate timing—or a serious public health issue.

UNITED AGAINST SOCIALISM?
Can Americans still find common ground?
Politics has become deeply divided, but is there one principle both conservatives and liberals can still stand behind? Can people disagree on taxes, healthcare, immigration and climate policy, while agreeing that authoritarian governments—whether communist, fascist, or otherwise—should never replace America's constitutional republic?
Today we ask a simple question:
Can we still stand shoulder to shoulder when freedom itself is on the line?.

EGGS AND BACON
Calls to reduce meat consumption have become increasingly common among environmental organizations, climate activists and public health advocates.
Now, Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz is drawing criticism after reports surfaced that although he has financially supported organizations encouraging Americans to eat less meat, he reportedly continues to consume meat himself.
SUDDENLY
The passing of Senator Lindsey Graham marks the end of a long chapter in American politics.
Known for his outspoken positions on national security, military affairs and foreign policy, Graham spent decades representing South Carolina in Washington and often found himself at the center of major legislative debates.
