  • Episode 8 Eight of Swords (Rest in Peace Dear Jill Janus)
RIP Jill Janus. This is gonna be a rough one. On this very special episode I talk about the dearly departed Jill Janus, the lead vocalist from the band Huntress and her untimely demise. It really cuts down to my soul. I reminisce about meeting Jill, seeing Huntress live, and talk about depression and the pain of being a man. I have a special guest with me, the 4 Color Demons vest wearing kitten herself, Kweekling! After my candid conversation about life, death, suicide, depression and dark thoughts, I give a shout out to Chris Laudando, the roast master of TESD Town. I also shout out a couple of cool ant ladies on this one. I talk about new job prospects, and also the importance of music, artistic expression, and my thoughts on the ALL IN independent wrestling PPV held by Cody and the Young Bucks. There's also bits of Huntress music in this one, including the demo that brought Huntress together, and the last Jill Janus song I ever heard. RIP JILL! Love you TO DEATH!

  • EPISODE 7 Cero Miedo! (Zero Fear!)
Your humble narrator recorded this episode exactly two weeks ago to the day. Amidst the poor air quality of the brutal HELL PASO, TX summer, I continue my harrowing ongoing saga trying to find a new livelihood! I have INFORMATION, MAN! NEW SHIT HAS COME TO LIGHT! (Points if you get the reference.) I wax poetic (or try to) about job rejection emails, hipsters, millenials, and going to a bar in my mid 30s. Everybody wants some! I want some too! A job that is. Anyway, I talk about rasslin, touch on a bit of music &movies talk (MI6 with Tom Cruise). You might even hear an audio cameo from SOPHIE the wonder dog! P.S. the BRITISH voice impression stays! If you like my podcast, share and tell a friend! Email [email protected] for questions, comments, concerns, complaints, etc. TELL A FRIEND! I'm on Itunes, Spotify, and Google podcasts!

  • EPISODE 6 WELL,SHITFIRE!
Your humble narrator has returned with episode 6! Just 660 more to go! In this week's episode (which was delayed by life and a sudden turn of events to be detailed in the next episode), I delve heavily into local ..ugh...morning radio versus Mexican morning radio. I give detailed, picturesque accounts of weeks one and two of working for "da man" in a windowless box. I try my hand at impressions, but not of anyone famous or even remotely funny. I detail a Fast and Furious type intense moment behind the wheel. Once again I'm disappointed with the quality of customer service nowadays. I talk a bit of music, including Tool and Daron Malakian's new album Dictator. I also mention a great flick I saw Sorry To Bother You. (WARNING, if you have sensitive ears, listen at a moderate level.) I've tried to make it sound smooth and even, but I'm still learning so protect YA EARS! I ruminate on the current state of lacklusterjobs, supervisors and managers. Enjoy my thoughts! Laterz!

  • EPISODE 5 I......AMMM.....YOB!
In which I am indeed yob, or rather I reflect on my first week back in the workforce at a job I used to have almost 15 years ago! I look at new people and their manic behaviors through the prism of my 30 something eyes. There's new music and movies discussed too, Antman and the Wasp, and newly released metal music recommendations from Unearth and DevilDriver. Also I talk about rasslin aka wrestling from WWE, NXT, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Lucha Underground. I look to the tweet machine to answer a few questions. People are actually listening! I'm on SPOTIFY, y'all! FUCK SOUNDCLOUD! And if you listen close, you might hear a couple instances where I amplified sounds that I heard while editing the episode, where I wasn't speaking but voices were heard. Guard your ears during these bits and turn down the volume towards the end. YE BE WARNED! Is it just me recording or is it my first cohost from the great beyond? YOU decide!

  • EPISODE 4 When It Reigns It Floods
In which your humble narrator reflects on the passing of Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul (RIP) , my first metal concert and getting kicked in the head, and first memories of the band Pantera and favorite song. I also mourn the loss (aka cancellation) of AMC's Comic Book Men. I ponder about crowd funded podcasts joining the murky, uncharted waters of Patreon and become crowd supported, exclusive content providers. More music talk, and water park stories involving life and death. Tiny clips from Pantera, Damageplan, the original CBM intro theme, Amy Winehouse, and whatnot. Tiny Grindhouse intro from Keith Mansfield's Funky Fanfare.

  • Episode 3 (Maybe 4?) - Shadow(s) of EYE GEE GEE WHY.
After a two or three year long silence, I triumphantly return to record my yearly podcast. I look backwards in time, at past attempts at podcasting. I turn into an eclectic music snob after professing this isn't a music podcast (and it's not!). My old show notes somehow make sense, and I also discuss insomnia cured with British singers' music, job hunting in my mid 30s, and discuss a recent pet peeve at the movies. I also throw in a couple quick movie reviews. So much for pigeonholing myself into a gimmicky podcast corner. Leave questions comments or anything @NoNonsenseMofo on Twitter. Or not. Music clips are Arrival at the Last Quarter by Shadow from Japan and Fancy by Eye GEE GEE WHY. 1,2, better not sue!

  • Episode UNO El MexicANT returns. Sort of.
Quiubole HOMEZ! But seriously, hello and welcome to the inaugural or maiden voyage (although I've recorded 3 of these already) of what I now call Roaming Reigns. A play on words obviously. Maybe I'll expound or expand on this further. Perhaps I won't.
