Robby & Rexrode

We continue the thoughts and your phones on the Titans following the loss to Cleveland.  They open the week as 10.5 point underdogs at Cincy, and the next stretch of schedule looks pretty tough for the defense.  We head to more of your phones.  Is Cam Ward the biggest problem with the offense right now?  The playoff chances for the Vols took a big hit this week after a loss to South Carolina.  What went wrong in this one?  Can they recover moving forward?  We have the combined Rob and Rex Rant to close the hour.

The Tennessee Titans dropped the season record to 1-6 after a loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.  Robby and Joe are breaking it all down to get the week started.  It was a good day for the running game and RB Tony Pollard, but a bad day for the defense.  What did we think about the performance once again from QB Cam Ward?  There are still too many stretches of the game where the offense and Ward just aren't making enough plays.  It was a disappointing game from the defense as the Cleveland running game had a solid day.  Do we think the offense is still lacking confidence in Ward with some of the play calls?  We take your phones.  Why can't the offense find more of a rhythm in these games?  The next four games on the schedule won't be easy.

ESPN Titans reporter Turron Davenport joins the show to begin the final hour talking all things Titans.  How can the team win back-to-back games in the matchup vs Cleveland?  We react to what TD had to say and get to your phones.  We have our weekly pick segment on Pigskin Pick 'Em as we pick our games this week.  We wrap up with your final phones and thoughts on the Vols and Titans.

Talking some Titans to begin the 2nd hour.  There's a chart that shows Cam Ward has not taken advantage of the good protection from the OL.  How disappointing is that given all the question marks about the OL this offseason?  Are we sensing any issues with the system under new OC Daboll?  We take your phones.  The MNF TV booth for ESPN is a little unsettled moving forward after some drama between Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.  We have a special Rex Rant interview as Dave Matthews Band saxophonist, Jeff Coffin, hops on the show to talk about the upcoming concert and the Nashville Jazz Fest.

Robby and Joe recap last night's action to begin Thursday's show.  The Bears got the TNF win over the Patriots, and the World Series begins tonight.  Some college football news from yesterday that Miami is considering going independent?  Could this mean the end of the protect college sports act?  The Nashville Predators dropped the game vs Boston last night, 6-0.  How do we feel like the start of the season is shaping up for the team?  If they continue on this path, at one point will GM Chris MacFarland consider making big changes?  We take your phones as always.

Senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson of NFLBlueBook.com joins the show for his weekly visit to discuss all things Titans and NFL.  Lots of storylines to get to with Charles.  What could the NFL trade deadline look like for the Titans, and which players could garner interest from contenders?  We close out the show with some thoughts on the matchup vs the Browns and your final phones.

We begin hour two with the question; who is the best team in college football this season?  Can Ohio State be the answer given the injury to QB Julian Sayin?  Can Notre Dame suffer another loss and still make it to the CFP?  Who is the most underrated team in the country?  Who will play in the final SEC championship game?  Adam Sparks from the Knoxville News Sentinel hops on to talk Vols and the upcoming matchup vs South Carolina.  Joe has his Rex Rant of the day.

Discussing the latest on the Titans to begin Thursday's show.  HC Robert Saleh spoke yesterday about the release of DL Jordan Elliott and circumstances around the incident.  What do we think about his comments?  DB Alontae Taylor spoke yesterday as well about the situation around his benching.  Do we think things can get turned around?  We take your phones.  Is making Taylor inactive a little too extreme?  We close the hour with the Best and Worst in Sports This Week.
