Robby & Rexrode

The Vols also got a big win this weekend taking down Alabama 26-10.  The defense continues to play well and held down the Bama offense.  MacIntyre looks like the guy right now at QB, as Bishop, Matthews, and Staley made some plays.  What does this win mean Josh Heupel and his tenure?  Vols are early underdogs at South Carolina this week.  What does the path look like for the CFP?  It was not a great game for Vanderbilt after losing to Arkansas.  Texas once again struggled in its loss to Florida.  What does that do for their CFP chances?  Plus, Kentucky once again looks solid in a win.  Robby has the Rob Rant to close hour two.

We begin Monday's show discussing the Titans after the team secured its first win of the season, taking down the Colts 26-20.  The offense wasn't overly impressive, but the defense and special teams stepped up.  We take your phones, and it's nice to hear some positives after a game for once.  What did we think about DB Alontae Taylor not playing bc of a coaches decision?  The defense was finally able to get some pressure on the QB and create some turnovers.  Hard to say this was a step in the right direction for the offense, however.  But, going 0-17 is off the table for this season.

We begin the final hour with our weekly visit with ESPN Titans reporter Turron Davenport.  How can the Titans get the 1st win of the season this week vs Indy?  We head back to your phones on the CFP expansion, and discuss some more keys to the Titans game.  We pick our slate of games in Pigskin Pick 'Em, and close out the week with your final phones and thoughts on the weekend of games.

Talking some Titans this hour as the team searches for the 1st win of the season vs Indy this week.  The Colts have been average this season, but can the Titans take advantage?  What are some keys to a win?  Which would fans rather see, a good game from the OL, or rookie Keldrick Faulk make some plays on defense?  We head to your phones.  We share a few more thoughts on the fan survey about the Titans from A to Z Sports.  Robby has the Rob Rant on the 24-team CFP.

Robby Stanley and Joe Rexrode are closing out the week on this Friday.  The Broncos beat the Seahawks on TNF and the Preds dropped one to the Sharks in a shootout.  We get into the big news of the day after report came out last night the college football playoff is set to expand to 24-teams starting in 2027.  Robby and Joe are not fans.  Do any fans actually want this to happen?  How much are they destroying the regular season?  Is this really going to help coaches job security like they seem to think?  How much are they watering down the playoff?  We take a bunch of your reaction.  Plus, we share some more thoughts on the Vols matchup vs Alabama this week.

Senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson of NFLBlueBook.com joins the show for his weekly visit.  We get into the ugly start to the season for the Titans.  Plus, the rough start for the Chargers, and Marvin Harrison Jr traded to Houston.  A new state of the Titans fan survey is out from A to Z Sports and we share some quick observations from that.  We close out the show with some thoughts on the Colts matchup this week.

We talk some Vols vs Alabama to begin the second hour as UT hosts the Tide this weekend.  How are we feeling about the matchup?  How badly does HC Josh Heupel need a signature win against a top quality team?  What does the future look like for the Vols under Heupel, and why can't he seem to get the offense and defense playing well at the same time?  We take your thoughts.  The Nashville Predators return to action tonight vs San Jose.  HC Andrew Brunette hops on to share his thoughts on the early portion of the season and where the team needs to improve.  Robby has the Rob Rant of the day.

Starting off the show with some news on the Titans after a report they are set to hire Jeremy Walls from Arizona as the new COO.  What do we make of that news?  We ask the question, how have Titans fans changed their viewing habits and attendance of the games?  Are people still invested in watching the entire game?  Have fans decided to attend less games given how the franchise has looked over the last couple of years?  How long could it be before they can get turned around?  We take a bunch of your phones.  We have our Best & Worst Things in Sports This Week to wrap up hour one.
