Rod Harrel - John Lennon Assassination
On the night of December 8th, 1980, the world rocked to a death which was cruel and remains unbelievable. Mark David Chapman walked up to arguably one of the most influential figures in the world, alone, and shot John Lennon. Chapman then, having emptied his gun, stood reading 'Catcher in the Rye' until the Police arrived.
At least that is what has been documented as 'fact'. But closer examination of Chapman, the circumstances of the killing both leading up to and immediately following have grown ever more murky; the passing of time has allowed the furore to calm down and a measured look at the story has allowed a certain amount of cynicism to the alleged facts of the case.
How did Chapman have so much money? How was there too many bullet holes for the gun he possessed (considering he never reloaded) and who benefited from Lennon's death?
So has Rod Harrel hit upon something? He tells Ed Opperman about his research, which he backs up. Why will people not talk? Who else was at the crime scene? Who the Doctor who treated Lennon in the emergency room? And why did Ono have Lennon alter his will and suspend his bodyguards prior to the killing?
His documentary and social media accounts appear at time of writing to be suspended and/or deleted.
