October's job report was released today.  It says the unemployment rate for Black men dropped while it increased for most other groups.  But it could be for the wrong reason like Black men have stopped looking for jobs.  I'll talk to an economist who will break it down for us. 

Early voting is winding down, with a record turnout of over 36 million people who have already cast their ballot.  The Black Women's Leadership Collective is making a last-ditch effort to let black women know they have the power and why they have the power to decide the midterms.  Holli Holiday will explain how they are getting black women to the polls. 

Voters in a Pennsylvania county say they are surprised by a new policy allowing sheriff deputies to question folks voting.

A federal judge issues a temporary restraining order against a group monitoring drop boxes in Arizona.

There were surveillance cameras positioned outside Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home when her husband, Paul Pelosi, was brutally attacked, but Capitol Police officers were not actively monitoring the video.

And I'll talk to the President and Executive Director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice and the Director of Latino Justice Racial Justice Institute about the Supreme Court considering eliminating race from the college admissions process.

Texas Republicans are pulling out all of the stops to keep people of color from voting.  We'll find out what Texas Organizing Project is doing to ensure everyone can cast their ballot. 

A black woman files lawsuit against L'Oréal, claiming her uterine cancer is linked to chemical hair straightening products.  Her attorneys will join us to provide details about the case. 

The Supreme Court blocks the release of Trump's tax returns and rules that Lindsey Graham must testify before a Georgia grand jury investigating the 2020 presidential election.

In our Marketplace segment, sunscreen for black folks, made by a black woman.  I'll talk to the creator of Black Girl Sunscreen.

And Halloween is no longer for kids.  I'll give my take on how the holiday has evolved.

Desman LaDuke, the young black man having a mental health crisis shot by a police officer through a window of his home, was laid to rest on Saturday.  Tonight, his aunt joins us to tell us about the investigation. 

The white officer who placed his gun on Patrick Lyoya's head and pulled the trigger will have to stand trial for his death. 

New York will pay millions to the men wrongfully convicted of killing Malcolm X. 

DNA exonerates a black man after 38 years in a California prison.

Another young black man in crisis is killed.  This time a Nicholasville, Kentucky cop shot and killed 22-year-old Desman LaDuke after his family called for a wellness check believing he was suffering from a mental health crisis.  

In Utah, a sheriff's deputy walks the streets searching for Black shoplifting suspect with a lasso, and it's all on bodycam video.  I'll talk to Black Lives Matter Utah Chapter Operating Chairperson about the incident that has folks in Grand County talking. 

As record-breaking early voting totals continue, we'll talk about how right-wing extremists are intimidating Arizona voters.  

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is caught with a hot mic expressing his concerns for the midterm election. 

Nancy Pelosi's husband gets viciously attacked by a man who authorities say was looking for the House Speaker. 

In our Education Matters segment, it's Dyslexia Awareness Month.  We'll examine how proficient reading levels dictate who will and will not graduate from high school.

The North Carolina sheriff caught on audio making recist comments about his black employees resigns during a court proceeding to determine if he should remain in office.  But he's on the upcoming ballot to be elected again.    

Justice Samuel Alito explains how leaking the Dobbs brief put targets on the back of the conservative justices. 

A Minnesota man awarded by the police for his heroics used his acceptance speech to tell law enforcement how he really feels about them. 

And I'll break down Kanye, Ye, whatever he calls himself these days, gets "canceled" when folks say he's anti-semitic, but it's ok for him to be anti-black.

Jaylen Lewis' shooting is the fifth officer-involved shooting by this police force created by  Gov. Tate Reeves, building a larger law enforcement presence in the predominately black capital city of Jackson. 

A Russian court rejects WNBA star Brittney Griner's appeal, upholding her nine-year prison sentence.

And two white right-wing political operatives plead to a telecommunications fraud charge.  They targeted predominantly black neighborhoods with robocalls, falsely claiming voter information included on mail-in ballots could be used by law enforcement and debt collectors.

More than 7.5 million people have already voted either in person or by mail.  An NBC voter poll says that's because people are energized about this year's election. 

We'll tell you how Virginia sent about 60-thousand voters to the wrong precincts. 

Senator Lindsey Graham gets a bit of a reprieve from Justice Clarence Thomas, who temporarily blocks Graham's subpoena to testify in Georgia's election probe. 

One officer takes a plea, and the other officer decides to let a Minnesota judge decide what his part was in the death of George Floyd.

It's Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I'll take to a two-time breast cancer survivor and a doctor about the importance of getting breast exams.

And we say farewell to a civil rights icon, Rev. Charles Sherrod.
