  • His House

Your ghosts follow you wherever you go, it is only when you let them in that you can start to overcome them. This is one of the final lines said in another Netflix original that stands out. An African refugee couple of Bol and Rial move to an apartment complex in London, what follows is the slow descent of madness and fear as ghosts haunt them. This film creates some of the best transitions in horror imagery that we have seen in a while creating a powerful metaphor for fleeing a country and being put into the system. After the horrors of the world, you see in this, you may also want to be protected

  • The Fly

Playing God is a concept that goes hand in hand with horror films, but what about when you add romance to it as well? Today we look at the 1986 version in which we follow Seth, a scientist looking to develop a teleportation device with the help of his journalist girlfriend Veronica. When a fly is trapped inside the device along with Seth, horror soon ensues. A film that provides one of the best representations of body horror and practical effects, it's hard not to love everything about this film. With that being said, drink deep from the plasma pool with this one my friends

  • The Exorcist 3

The idea of possession is something that is very taboo to most, often not to be talked about or mentioned, except in the case when one of the best films needs a deserving sequel. 15 years have passed since the Gemini killer had been executed, however, his methods have been seen now by Lt. Kinderman which leads him on an unholy path. A film that has one of the best jump scares in horror history as well as a thrilling story to keep you on the edge of your seat does beg the question, is this an Exorcist film? Nevertheless, "we are many" and is a must-watch for October

  • A Classic Horror Story

In this day and age, it is hard to do an innovative horror film, but this one definitely tries. As it is the time of year that we love, we begin Spooky Scary Stuff with a film of random strangers who are transported to an open field with a mysterious cabin, and that's the best without any spoilers. A film that exceeds in gore, cinematography, and twists does lean a little too close to trying to do "every horror film trope" inside of it to one of us. However, it is worth the watch, just remember, it's only a movie

  • Favorite Sequels

There are films that have such an impact that many believe that they are perfect the way they are, but there are those that not only need an addition but rather the addition exceeds the original. The art of sequels is a very fragile concept that can't disregard the first film but still needs to bring a story forward. As always we wanna hear some of your favorites as we discuss the films that feel even better with another film as we talk about our favorite sequels in films

  • Brick

How far are you willing to go to solve a murder, while still in high school? Today we take a look as a young man Brendan searches the underbelly of the drug ring that infests his school while uncovering what happened with his ex-girlfriend's mysterious death. A film that perfectly captures a "Noir" feel to it in a modern and interesting setting, all while still remaining lighthearted in certain spots. While the plot may be a little confusing at times it still delivers a story that by the end will have you hooked. We just need to ask, who are you eating with lately?
