In this podcast episode, I take a personal approach to discuss my reasons for taking a hiatus from podcasting. I explain how I moved to Salt Lake City to pursue a new life and career, and how this journey impacted my mental and emotional well-being. I delve into the challenges I faced in adjusting to a new environment and the stress of job hunting while also caring for a new puppy. I also share how I dealt with these challenges. Despite the difficulties, I reflect on the growth and self-discovery I experienced during this time, including learning more about myself and my priorities. Ultimately, I express gratitude for the experiences that led me to this point and for the opportunity to share my journey with listeners. This podcast serves as a reminder that taking time for oneself and seeking support can lead to personal growth and a better sense of well-being.

Dating a runner can present its own set of challenges, especially when one partner doesn't share the same passion for running. However, with understanding and communication, these relationships can also be incredibly rewarding. By finding ways to support each other's interests and finding common ground, non-running partners can play an important role in their runner's success and find fulfillment in their own lives as well.

However, with the encouragement of her friends and family, she decided to train for the race. As she pushed herself during each training session, she discovered a strength she never knew she had. The sense of accomplishment she felt when she crossed the finish line was life-changing, and she realized that her mindset had been limiting her all along. From that day forward, she approached challenges with a newfound confidence, knowing that she was capable of overcoming any obstacle that came her way.

Are you avoiding running in the cold because, well its cold? The cold is not going to hurt you (if you are prepared), but your mind telling you have to wait until the spring to go back outside might! Going outside is healthy and freeing, which also helps with our mental health (even when the sun is not that strong). Here are the lessons that I have been learning about running in the cold. Apply it to any exercise that you love!
