This week’s question is a question I’ve been getting a lot lately:
“How do I know when I’m ready to date again after a break? I took a break to work on myself, but now I’m just not sure how to know if I’m ready so I don’t make the same mistakes or fall into the same patterns again.”
Listen in below to hear my answer!

Hello and welcome to episode 41 of Date Yourself Radio!
A few months ago, I met today’s guest at a local networking event in Dallas.
I invited her onto the show because, well, she works for an online dating company I’m sure you’ve heard of, but she also has an incredible blog where she beautifully + eloquently shares her experiences dating.
I’ve already included some of my favorite posts in the shownotes, which are at veronicagrant.com/episode41, but she’s also going to share some of those stories here too.
Towards the end of the interview Emma shares a pretty raw and real time she honored a boundary with someone. And I want you to listen really closely. So many women tell me they’re scared to say what they want or how they feel because they may come across as a bitch, as too much, or get rejected.
I won’t give what happened to Emma away here when she spoke up, but the insight is so powerful, and I want you to hear it.
Alright, let’s go ahead and jump straight to the interview...

This week’s question comes from Ashley, and she writes:
I am not looking for someone to complete me, but I’m tired of living life alone and if there is something I can do about it I would, it's just hard to know where to start. I’m having one of those days where I’m loosing faith and though I can tell myself "I'll meet someone," the truth is I may not, and it's a little painful to admit. I’m in the place where now my energy is being used to console myself that it's okay to be alone but I'd rather put my energy into finding my partner, I'm just not sure how to go about doing that.

Today on the show, I have Erin Wells. She’s The Intentionality Expert, Productivity Strategist and founder of Chosen Course. But I invited her onto the show today because she so eloquently is able to relay what she teaches in her business to dating. And, I’ve been around the block a time or two in the field of self-development, and what she had to share still blew my mind.
Here’s what you’ll learn when you listen in:

I’m thrilled to announce Date Yourself Radio is now a biweekly show! (Cue virtual confetti dump!)
On Mondays, except to hear a quick episode from me answering either a common question I get or, you can submit a question for me to answer live on the show.
Here are some questions I’m answering over the next few weeks:
- Why am I always getting friend zoned?
- How do I know when I’m ready to date again?
- How do I stop being a people pleaser?
