    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I’ve got another fun episode for you today.
    If you’re finding yourself stuck in a rut, this episode is for you. It’s only human to get into a cycle of wake up, work, work out, eat dinner, netflix bed. I’m all about routines; they can bring groundedness + familiarity to our lives, which lord knows is comforting. But sometimes, it begins to feel like a rut, like we’re just going through the motions.
    Enter Laura Yamin. Laura is a career coach for millennials + fellow podcaster. Her podcast Say Yes Podcast is all about those moments we say yes to life. Really? It’s about bringing in more fun + opportunity into your life, wherever you are.
    Here’s what we jam about:
    1. Many of us focus on career first, THEN relationships. Laura says this is backwards + explains why.
    2. You don’t have to have your life’s purpose in your job. {Even this is a hard pill for me to swallow, even though intellectually, it makes sense to me.}
    3. What does saying yes mean and what does it do
    4. How to start saying yes to the right things, and not burn yourself out.
    5. Laura’s experience speed dating. {Have you ever speed dated? Let me know how it was in the comments below!}
  • EP08 How A Healthy Relationship To Food Attracts A Healthy Relationship With Casey Berglund
    I am so excited about today’s episode. Casey {from worthyandwell.com} + I have been buds almost since my business’ beginning. It’s been really fun to have a friend where we got to birth our businesses, programs, and services into the world together. {This must be why moms who were pregnant together have unique + special bonds?! I think I’m kinda getting it.} Anyways, she’s a master at helping people heal their relationship to food, and eat for fuel, flavor, and fun. I adore Casey + what she teaches, mostly because she gave me a good excuse to use an analogy in my show notes {SAT, old school style}: Your relationship with yourself is to your romantic relationships, as _____ is to all your relationships. Give up? It's food! I love what Casey does because she doesn't teach you what to eat/not to eat. She teaches you how to use your own inner wisdom as a guide to know what to eat. This not only changes your relationship to food, it really changes all the relationships you have in your life.   Food + my relationship to it has been a huge part of my life, and I attribute changing the way I ate to attract {and keep} Stevie. I was a chronic dieter + calorie counter-extraordinaire. For years I believed that once I reached the perfect weight, all my dating problems would be solved + I could have any relationship I wanted. It was only once I saw food as something as nourishing + not ‘something to be conquered’ did I transform the relationship I had with myself, and ultimately, attract the relationship I truly wanted.If you struggle with food, then this episode is for you. About Casey:For many years Casey had an unhealthy and unhappy relationship with food, her body, and her life. She is a self-described queen of the all-or-none when it came to food + dieting. She read every diet book she could get her hands on and ate in a very rigid way (that would usually backfire). This left her exhausted + feeling stuck. She got her degree in nutrition from the University of Alberta, which was useful in learning how food affected her body. But what REALLY helped her was establishing a yoga practice. Yoga helped her let go of her perfectionist mentality + made her more mindful. It connected her with her own unique inner wisdom, which now serves to guide the way she eats, the way she treat her body, and the way she lives her life. In this episode, here’s what you’ll learn:1. How Casey created her own inner wisdom, and how it helps her make eating choices that keep her nourished + happy. {She’ll tell you how to create your own inner wisdom, too.}2. How to eat on a first date or in front of men without feeling self-conscious3. How mindful eating can help you attract the right relationship for you4. How to deal with different food choices + values in a relationship {eg, you’re a vegetarian + he’s not} Resources: Casey's 21-Day Mindful Eating Challenge Worthy and Well Dating Clarity Session
  • EP07 How The Lemon Law Applies To Dating
    If you've been with me for a while, you know that I am {not so} secretly obsessed with How I Met Your Mother.
    I think the show is brilliant in how they portray dating + relationships.
    When I saw the episode where Barney explains his application of the Lemon Law, I thought it was genius, and I knew it would have to be a podcast episode.
    Now, the Lemon Law, when it comes to cars, means that if a car is defected or continues to break with repeated fixes, it falls under the Lemon Law. You can get your money back.
    When it comes to dating, according to Barney, the Lemon Law can be invoked within the first 5 minutes of a date if one or both parties "deems the union hopeless."
    Obviously, that's a bit shallow, and not what I'm advocating.
    In this week's episode, I'll explain what I AM advocating if a date isn't going so well, or if you aren't sure about your guy.
    Specifically, I'm talking about:
    1. The time I invoked the Lemon Law + left halfway through a date
    2. If he looks good on paper, but you aren't sure, should you keep seeing him?
    3. How to deal with the guilt in turning a great guy down
    Tune in below!
    After you listen, in the comments below, I'd love to hear have you ever agreed to 2nd, 3rd, dates {and beyond!} because you felt guilty or that you "should" like him?
    Tell me about it below in the show notes, veronicagrant.com/episode7.
    xo,
    Veronica
  • EP06: 3 Steps To The Relationship You Desire
    When I work with private or group clients, I have a very specific process I take them through.
    Why?
    Because I know it works.
    So often, when I see women who want to get serious about meeting someone they immediately download the latest dating app, start imagining their dream guy, or spend ALL their free time dating.
    The truth is, this doesn't work! At least not in the long term.
    You don't need another dating app, you can throw your perfect man list out, and if you spend ALL your time dating, you will burn out.
    Instead? I have 3 steps, and guess what, the first 2, don't even involve anyone else!
    If you're really serious about attracting the relationship you most desire, you've got to get serious with the relationship you have with yourself.
    I don't care if that sounds woo-woo or too warm + fuzzy for you, but it's the truth.
    It's a fact that the relationship we have with others is a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself.
    You can't expect someone to treat you like a queen if you yourself don't treat yourself like a queen.
    In this episode, I share my 3 steps, and WHY they are important for lasting love.
    The three steps are:
    1. Lay the foundation
    2. Clear your dating energetic space
    3. Attract + keep your ideal relationship
    Tune in below so you can get all the details + learn what the heck those steps actually mean.
    When you're done listening, head over to the show notes, tell me: where in this process do you struggle with most? Are you hung up on old boyfriends? You don't put yourself first? Share in the comments below.
    xoxo,
    V
