Joshua Burt grew up in Canyonville, Oregon. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Brigham Young University–Idaho and a Master's degree in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning from Boise State University. Brother Burt currently works as a Human Resources Information Systems Manager and has worked at Ensign College for 12 years. He served a full-time mission in Birmingham, England. He and his wife, Andrea, are the parents of four children.
