Welcome to episode 4 of the Running for Beginners podcast from the 22resolutionists, hosted by me Mike Fleming. In this episode I go over the basic gear needs of a beginning runner. I was honored again to be able to speak with Blaine Jimmerson of Runaround Running in Joplin Missouri to get his suggestions based on his +10years in the running community. Ask 10 current runners what they think the minimum needed beginning gear requirements are and you’ll likely get 10 totally different answers. Gear is a personalized, subjective topic and can be as broad or as narrow as one would like. That being the case I believe this will be a multi-part episode on gear. In the follow-on episode I will go into other useful (if needed) items as well as other options for gear spoken of in this episode.
