Moe Bsat and the Air Up There Run Crew were out for a run when they were stopped by police in Hamilton Ontario. This weekly run is open exclusively to folks who are Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, as a means of fostering community amongst traditionally marginalized groups. The runners stopped in front of the police station to admire an exhibit dedicated to Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls when they were questioned by two officers. The police alleged public concerns about suspicious behaviour. In this episode Moe and his crew mates recount this experience with the police, and explain the significance of creating safe, equitable and inclusive spaces within the running community.
