The Nashville Predators defeated Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils last night in Nashville's final game before the All Star break. Veteran Matt Duchene and Filip Forsberg each scored in the 6-4 win, but in the post game it was Ryan Johansen who received a lot of credit for Nashville's recent success after speaking up at an "uncomfortable but honest" team meeting last weekend.

The Preds put together another complete performance against New Jersey as players up and down the line up pitched in to earn the win. On today's Locked On Predators we break down the 6-4 win including our "one word" to describe the game. Ryan Johansen earned an assist on the ice last night, but in the postgame his teammates credited him with inspiring the team in a player led meeting Saturday after the Preds' abysmal performance against St. Louis last week. Since that meeting, the Predators have won three in a row against top playoff caliber teams. We discuss what it will take to carry this momentum over after the All Star break, how the loss of Alexandre Carrier may affect David Poile's decisions as the trade deadline looms, and whether we think Nashville could really make a postseason run.
