Laura Baldwin is In The Frame!

Laura Baldwin is playing Miss Heartwright in the world premiere of Austenland. Based on Shannon Hale’s 2007 novel, which was adapted into a film in 2013, Austenland is being staged in concert at the Savoy Theatre for two performances on Monday 24th March. The show has book by Jodi Picoult and Timothy Allen McDonald with music and lyrics by Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel. The concert production is directed by Jonathan O’Boyle with choreography by Joanna Goodwin.

Laura played Dawn in the original West End cast of Waitress (Adelphi Theatre) and Adele in the premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella (Gillian Lynne Theatre). She received huge acclaim for her performance as Janey in Eugenius! (The Other Palace).

Laura's other theatre credits include: Teen Fiona in Shrek (UK & Ireland Tour), Cynthia in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (UK & Ireland Tour), Ann in Half A Sixpence (Kilworth House), Story Sandra in Big Fish (The Other Palace), Veronica in Betty Blue Eyes (UK Tour) and Smize in Emojiland In Concert (Garrick Theatre)

Recorded after a day of rehearsals, in this episode Laura discusses why she's excited to be part of Austenland. She also discusses all things Waitress and Cinderella and reflects on the path of her career, including highs and lows.
