This week’s ship.energy podcast guest is Jesper Bo Hansen, the recently appointed Chief Revenue Officer at Danish vessel optimisation specialist Zero North.

 

Prior to joining ZeroNorth at the start of 2022, Jesper was the Managing Director of Maersk Broker Advisory Services, where he set up a consultancy on climate affairs for shipping companies, investors and lenders. 

 

He has also held leadership roles across Europe, Asia, and the Americas at Torm and Heidmar, as well as a director role at Team Tankers International.

 

Jesper is active in catalysing shipping’s decarbonisation and has previously led a project addressing the industry’s green transition with global consultancy McKinsey. 

 

Jesper spoke at COP 26, and at the time of his appointment at ZeroNorth, he commented: ‘The next generation is keeping our sector accountable like never before, and it gives me hope for the future that most young people enter the industry with the aim of transforming it,

 

’‘ZeroNorth is part of that transformation, and I am looking forward to getting to work and becoming part of it as well. Now, the real work begins.’
