S4 Episode 13: Second and Subsequent Appeals

The third 2023 Foley's February session is presented by Julie Condon KC and Bridie Kelly. This episode is concerned with second and subsequent appeals, going through the procedural history and the notable case of Roberts and the Queen.
Julie practices in all facets of criminal law. She was appointed Senior Counsel in 2016.  Julie is an experienced trial advocate. She has appeared  in criminal trials in both the Supreme Court and the County Court of Victoria and has conducted appeals in the Court of Appeal.  Julie is also a Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial preferred barrister.
Bridie has a broad practice, and accepts briefs in criminal and quasi-criminal matters, public and administrative law matters, inquests and inquiries. Bridie holds an Indictable Crime Certificate and is a junior counsel participant in the VLA Trial Counsel Development Program.
