After serving active duty in the U.S. Navy for ten years, Maria (Tori) Escamilla made the decision to go reserves and make her way back to her hometown of San Antonio to be back with her family. Her experience being stationed across the U.S. and passion for Mexican American history inspired her to start a podcast, Chicana Chisme. Tori has a Bachelors in Multidisciplinary Studies from UT El Paso, and BA in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and is currently pursuing her master's in clinical Mental Health.
