One is a historic site, Calvi. The other is a recent mixed-use office district: La Courrouze in Rennes. The former needs to evict abandoned parts of the city, while the latter needs to welcome new residents and open up to residential use. In both cases, the architect has to deal with the scale of the territory and its realities, armed with his ability to project, to create architecture! Both projects were designed by Line Up architecture. One is a competition project, the other is rooted in reality...
