Métamorphoses Urbaines (literally Urban Metamorphoses) is more than an urban planning agency — it’s a collective exploring how cities can change when people are placed at the heart of every decision. Founded in 2024 by Laurent Pinon, the agency brings together architects, urban planners, engineers, and geographers with one shared belief: that the future of territories is written with their inhabitants.

From relocating the village of Miquelon, threatened by rising seas, to reimagining the Chaudron neighborhood in Réunion Island, Métamorphoses Urbaines turns climate challenges and social realities into opportunities for new ways of living.

With over 80 ongoing projects in France, overseas territories, and Belgium, the agency proves that urbanism is not just about plans and numbers, but about collective stories, resilience, and shared futures.
