Was she wicked and vain, or was she the quintessential feminist icon? Did she even really exist? And who the heck is King Ahasuerus?

Haman's Plot to Destroy the Jews.

Mordecai won't bow to Haman, who gets all offended and suggests to the king that they do a genocide, which is obviously the most reasonable response (/s). Worse, Xerxes is totally on board! The chapter ends on a cliffhanger, and for the first time EVER, we are super eager for the next chapter. This story is bananas!

Esther Made Queen / Mordecai Reveals a Conspiracy against the King.

King Xerxes needs a new queen to replace the one he just fired, so he has beautiful young virgins brought to his harem so he can try them out — but not till after they have a year's worth of spa days, which, you know, that's fair. He picks Esther due to her tight little WAP, and this turns out to be a good choice in more ways than one!

Queen Vashti Defies King Xerxes.

The king of Persia throws a big party and wants to show off his trophy-wife, but she's like, Nah. He gets super mad and asks his homies if he should toss her off a bridge. They're like, probably bruh. It's a real cliffhanger, y'all!

so it's time for Husband and Wife to play another round of a game called You're Always Wrong. You may be shocked to learn that we've found a few contradictions in the Bible. No wonder it's so easy to cherry-pick quotes to back up any claim!

another short book (only 13 chapters). We cover the three waves of migration to Jerusalem, as well as the probability of Nehemiah's actual existence and the likelihood that he was a eunuch. Wife refrains from falling down an Esdras rabbit hole. Finally, we confirm for all time that Nehemiah is an ass.

Husband and Wife answer questions about performative prayer, curses, kicking Tobiah outta the temple, and drawing lots to live in Jerusalem.

The truth is, Tobiah had it coming, and nobody wanted to live by him, and that's the curse.

jk... except for when I said Tobiah had it coming. That part is legit.
