You probably have some type of cold calling and closing scripts that are working for you, even if you created them yourself. But do you know why they work ... or the science and psychology of cold calling and closing?
There will always be someone that tells you "sales scripts don't work", or "cold calling is dead", or "sales scripts take out the human connection".
Prospecting is an unavoidable part of the sales process. And I believe that if you can find something that even just helps you to feel better picking up the phone, then you should use every available sales tool that you can to help you be more successful in sales.
