When the “International Lifetime Tamil Literary Achievement Award” ceremony was organised by Canadian Tamil literature Garden in Toronto recently, Alina Toporas, a Romanian student at Sheffield University was also honoured for her essay titled, ” re-establishment of Tamil identity.”

The so-called micro plastics are increasingly making their way into water supplies, sparking concerns they may travel up the food chain to humans.

Thoppil Mohammed Meeran was awarded the Highest Indian Government award for Poets & Creative writers, Sahitya Akademi Award in 1997 for his novel Saivu Narkali (The Reclining Chair). He has published five novels and six short story collections.
