Sankofa brings West African flavor to DC Beer

The Brew Daddies visit with Head Brewer Kofi Mero from Sankofa Beer Company. Kofi explains that his brewery is a bit different from most in the DC area because they brew using ingredients that originate in West Africa. Sankofa’s flagship beer, Hypebiscus, is a pale ale that has hibiscus as an important ingredient. Kofi and The Brew Daddies discuss the challenges and reason behind the company’s choice to start by contracting their brewing rather than establishing their own brewhouse.
