Gurumahan, in 8th Velvi (1998), explains the nature of God and ways to become God's living instrument.
If you ask whether you truly trust God, the honest answer is not completely! Those who have full faith in God have the strength to accept that whatever happens in this world is for the greater good. O Lord seated before me! You are the one creating Sathya Yuga! You hold unshakable faith in God and, at the same time, unwavering faith in the Guru. The path shown by the Guru is the path laid down by God Himself.
Whenever truth and dharma decline, weaken, or fade, God chooses worthy individuals and manifests truth, dharma, justice, honesty, and discipline through them. In this Kali Yuga, God does not wish to manifest through a single physical form. Those who trust the Guru who reflects God’s will and expresses His divine intent and those who live according to dharmic principles that protect humanity, become the channels through which divine power continues to manifest. God’s power will not appear only here; it will continue to manifest across the entire world. Therefore, God exists. How does God exist? Once God existed as One; now God exists as Everything. God sees as all, abides as all, and sits as every being. Those who realize this truth become Gurus, enlightened masters, wisdom teachers. Through them, this divine truth continues to reveal itself. God expresses Himself through love, strength, joy, and peace. Therefore, the future will be God’s time. Those who trust God will never be abandoned. What is the nature of God? God is everything. God lives within every human being. Because people forgot this truth, they wander everywhere saying, “God is not here, not there, God does not exist anywhere.” God is not absent. God does not exist in form alone; He transcends form and resides within. You come to see the Guru, yet you stand only at the doorway.
Can you see Him from there? No. Where must you go? You must enter GnanaPeedam (ஞான பீடம் at Thirumoorthi Hills). Only then can you see the Guru. In the same way, only when you turn inward can you experience God. That Supreme Being constantly watches over each one of you. The moment you turn your mind toward Him, you receive His power, His love, His compassion, and all forms of divine abundance. We need to rebuild human society with faith in God, the Self. People should fully receive God’s love. That is why, in every holy Velvi (penance), believers are brought together through a clear and divine plan. Now, in the eighth Velvi, that plan has reached its completion. The purpose for which all the Velvis were started has found its fulfillment in this eighth Velvi.

Gurumahan in the 8th Velvi discourse, reminds us that hardship is not punishment, but carries a hidden grace to self awareness and inner purity.
In each Velvi(Holy Penance), my purpose is to uplift and encourage all of you, to help you remove the unnecessary qualities within your heart and realize that you are pure and divine! God never created human beings as impure. Think about it! Do we ever wish for our children to be born ignorant or weak? We want our children to grow with wisdom and strength, above all with love for us. We wish that they care for us and that the whole world praises them. Parents naturally think this way. Guru's intention goes even further. Not just the disciples, he wants all living beings in the world to live with love, compassion and grace. People already know that humanity is divine loving and compassionate, but they do not truly realize it within themselves.
When things do not go as expected, people blame God. Children do the same. When a mother corrects her child for a small mistake, the child scolds the mother. In the same way, God creates situations to make His children realize Thier shortcomings. If a person has no sense of fear or awareness, he will never walk on the right path. Therefore, at certain times, people are made face small difficulties, which evokes fear of God leading one to create inner awareness.
Instead of seeing these difficulties as something big, one should pause and think. Why did God give me this trouble? People say God is form of love, compassion. and protection. If that is so, why did this happen to me? Even a little reflection towards Divine is enough. That reflection brings clarity. One realizes that this suffering came because of one’s own actions. If one had acted correctly, this pain would not have come.
Then the person realizes that God created this difficult situation to make him realize the truth. God's love is true love! Your compassion is true compassion. Your grace is true grace. From now on, I will not allow unnecessary thoughts or actions in my life. In this way, the person awakens and understands himself!

In the 8th Velvi (1998), Gurumahan affirms that Holy Penance redeems even wrong-doers through unseen grace.
Human beings possess the power and essence of the all-powerful Supreme ParaBrahmam. When they forget their true nature and stop seeing themselves as human, they begin to identify themselves with animal desires. At that moment, they develop selfish qualities and act only for their own pleasure. Such behavior ruins family, society, the nation, and even the world. The Bhagavad Gita says that whenever these destructive qualities rise, the Divine takes birth to protect the good and restrain harmful forces. But this Kali Yuga is different. The purpose of this life is not to destroy those who do wrong, but to help them realize the truth. Even within those who act wrongly, Atma exists. Therefore, we do not hate people; we hate only the bad qualities within them. When a child comes home covered in mud, we remove the dirt, not the child. In the same way, everyone is a part of the Supreme. Those who realize this truth live with peace and joy and learn to accept whatever happens in the world.
I perform every Velvi (Holy Penance) with the hope that disciples who follow the Guru will attain this inner maturity. Wherever people gather, a festival naturally forms. Universal Peace Foundation (UPF, Thirumoorththi Hills) already celebrates three major occasions: the Paranjothi Gnanavallal Mahaan's Jayanti(May 2), the day Gurupiraan attained enlightenment (Jnana Udaya Day), celebrated as Global Peace Day,(Nov 11) and the day Gurupiraan merged from the physical body into the universe, celebrated as Guru Udaya Day.(Jan 7)
Beyond these celebrations, people lit the first Velvi at Bhavani to unite all humanity with divine vibration (MeiUnarvu). The disciples of the Bhavani Kumarapalayam region and the International disciples conducted it with great dedication and success. Therefore, whenever the Velvi begins and whenever it concludes, we offer them heartfelt blessings and good wishes.
The Puranas say that through yajna, the Divine expresses its power, and that the Divine itself exists as the Yajna Purusha. A yajna is a holy act. But it does not purify the Guru, because the Guru is already pure. A true Guru does not perform rituals every year to remove sins. Still, loving disciples may feel and think this way.
When a child suffers from illness or mental pain, a mother prays to God and says, “Please protect my child. I will shave my head at your temple and observe fasting.” In the same way, many people who receive the rare opportunity to realize the Ultimate Truth remain unaware of the divinity within themselves. Those who should establish truth and righteousness at the end of Kali Yuga still fall into mistakes.
The all-powerful Divine knows that people commit sins without understanding their actions. Even if someone teaches them again and again, true realization comes only when the time is right. If punishment must occur, the results of their actions will surely take place in this world. For that purpose, I perform this Velvi for as many days as necessary without food, without sleep, and withdrawn from worldly relationships to uplift everyone.

In 1998, 8th Velvi, Gurumahan talks about how the Universal Shakthi responds to the cries of true disciple!
My duty is to protect this world by restraining the destructive forces that enter it. Whoever cries out sincerely from the depths of their heart, saying, “O Lord, protect me,” will be answered, regardless of the form in which they call. Even if someone calls upon a dog as their God and prays, “O dog, protect me,” it becomes my duty to protect them in that very form. This is how I carry out my responsibility.
This is the duty of God as realized by the sages. Even in the Gita, it is said that the Divine acts by performing duty. Everything is essentially one. Those who truly surrender, whether they worship Ayyappa, Ganapati, Shakti, Shiva, Vishnu, Rudra, Jesus, Allah, or the Light, gathering their mind, calling out with sincerity are guided by the Universe. Responding to such a call is the responsibility of the Cosmic power. You too are born from that same Universal power.
When the father fulfills his duty properly, the son and the daughter must also fulfill theirs. For this very purpose, this world, the land of karma, came into existence. This is not a permanent world; we are not its lasting owners. To reach any higher state, one must develop the necessary qualification, and that qualification must be cultivated within oneself.
The Guru’s duty is to guide and Guru wishes to take the disciples to highest state of consciousness. Money is not the concern; qualification is. Acquiring that qualification is your responsibility. Each individual must recognize and perform their own duty, and that itself is dharma. Dharma means living as a true human being, with humanity. For those who possess spiritual love, recognizing the inner divinity and living according to it is dharma.
When dharma declines, an incarnation arises to protect it. Today, dharma has declined, and therefore it is necessary to teach righteous principles and guide people along the right path. Each of you must perform your duties and remain established in discipline and inner practice (Kundalini meditation), both in the morning and in the evening.
When a person lives with completeness, it is called happiness. Happiness means fulfillment. That fulfillment should remain constant. All of us have come into this world seeking happiness. Therefore, let us fully experience that happiness and create a world filled with happiness.

Gurumahan, in the 8th Velvi, emphasizes that the dawn of Sathya Yuga in the 21st century is possible through self-transformation by shedding all unnecessary traits and constantly reminding oneself, “I am the Atma, filled with divine light.”
This is the time when the words spoken long ago, “The whole world is one family; all people are our kin” shall be fulfilled in truth. These words arose from this very land. They originated from Tamil Nadu in the southern region, from what is referred to as the Lemurian continent. This is the period when all the ancient wisdom traditions of Tamil Nadu shall be put into practice.
Therefore, what should we do for having been born in Tamil Nadu? We should feel proud. We should feel proud to have been born in Bharat. We should feel proud to have been born on this earthly realm. There is no use in constantly speaking about what is lacking. What is it that we do not have? We have everything. When we are content with what we already have, the mind will not even arise to dwell upon what is lacking.
Therefore, let us be content with what is. From now on, let us create a world where everyone attains everything and lives in joy and fulfillment. For that, first comes thought, then word, and then action. Thus, this spiritual discipline (tapas) is meant to strengthen the power of thought and to create inner unity of mind. Through tapas, the scattered thoughts are brought together and unified.
The velocity of these thought-waves is not limited to this region alone; they rise beyond the Earth and then descend back upon it. That is why this Velvi (Holy Penance) is a collective endeavor, performed by all together. It is a Velvi that brings about a revolution of wisdom and truth. Hence, this Velvi is not for a single individual; it is a Velvi that transforms an entire yuga.
Therefore, in this Velvi, let all of us unite. Yajna means offering something in sacrifice. What should be offered? You who have become divine beings, you who have become goddesses offer into the sacrificial fire all unnecessary and negative qualities, not just one or two, but every unnecessary trait. Each day, when you enter the Velvi with MeiUnarvu, “I am Atma, a soul endowed with pure light and MeiUnarvu,” within a short time you will transcend the physical body, go beyond the mind, go beyond the intellect, and experience an upward movement of consciousness.
Thus, this Yajna has been established for the welfare of the world and for world peace, to become a revolutionary movement that creates the Sathya Yuga in the 21st century. Especially mothers while carrying out your household duties, perform them with MeiUnarvu. The tapas performed in the early morning yields immense benefit, particularly in this most auspicious of months, Margazhi.
From today, the first day of Margazhi, begin your work as divine service. May all attain everything and live in joy. May all of you enjoy good physical health, mental strength, clarity of intellect, and growth in prosperity. May abundance flourish in your work and professions you undertake, and may you live with happiness and fulfillment alongside your families.

Gurumahan, in 8th Velvi, says that there is powerful weapon, more powerful than the Nuclear weapon in this world, and Bharath is the only country which can give it to the world!
The “I”, which exists as invisible subtle energy, has assumed this gross physical body in order to fulfill certain responsibilities. That 'I', MeiPorul is the ultimate truth and it is realised as MeiUnarvu at the crown of the head. That very truth is revered as the true Reality, and we worship That itself as the Guru.
Hence, our path is the path of Truth. Our path is the path of reality, integrity and truthfulness.
That is why this land of Bharat proclaims, “Truth alone triumphs.” The guiding principle of Bharat is the vision of unity in diversity. For this reason, once again, a light is destined to arise from Bharat, spreading across the world and safeguarding it.
What power truly protects the world? It is not nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons exist to destroy, not to protect. While other nations employ their strength for destruction, Bharat alone strives to protect all forms of life.
What, then, is Bharat’s instrument, its weapon?
It is Love.
And from where does this love arise?
It arises from the foundation of spirituality.
Therefore, only through love can the world be brought together. Only through true spiritual wisdom will the world once again attain equality and peace.
Thus, this Velvi (Holy Penance) is one that leads you to self-realisation. It is a Velvi that awakens and strengthens your inner powers. It is a Velvi that enables you to complete the purpose for which you have come.

Gurumahan says that the 21st century can blossom as Sathya Yuga if people live by love, truth, justice, and integrity. This new world must be created through inner transformation, by realizing and living the truth that divinity is not separate from us but exists within us. He explains that the role of a Guru is to remind us of this forgotten truth by pointing us back to our own inner knowing.
Will the 21st century blossom as Sathya Yuga? It will blossom, yes, it will! Or has it already blossomed, or has it not yet blossomed? It will blossom. Therefore, let us create a new world. What should that age be like? It must be founded on love, built on divinity, on spirituality, on truth, on reality, on justice, and on integrity. If such an age is to arise, who will create it? We will. We alone must create it. And if we are to create it, how must we first become? We must be good, and capable, people who make truth itself their way of life. So then, who are all of you? You are people of truth. Truth must be realized. And it must be acted upon with MeiUnarvu (Divine vibration). Though these truths have been spoken in all the Vedas and religions until now, they have not been lived in a state of realization. From now on, we should never again speak of God as being this way or that way. Why? Because we ourselves are God. In reality, you are God. Because we have forgotten this, we imagine that some other God exists somewhere, and so we continue searching. The one who points out what you have forgotten is the Guru. A Guru is one who points out, one who shows by Divine touch. He points to your forgetfulness and, with his finger, touches and indicates the very place where you already know. That is why a teaching that does not point and touch will never truly come alive.

In the Seventh Velvi discourse of 1997, Gurumahan reveals the deeper significance of the state of zero. When the mind is completely purified of all impressions and one abides in utter inner emptiness, the indwelling divine light, Paranjothi, spontaneously manifests and radiates from within.
Even if MeiUnarvu is received through Kundalini initiation, without genuine longing for the Divine, MeiUnarvu remains unrecognized and unrealized. Hence the question arises: why offer teachings in this present age? Gurumahan explains that MeiUnarvu will inevitably awaken the Self at the destined time. This awakening is foretold to unfold during the 7th Velvi, heralding the transformation into Sathya Yuga.
People may analyze and explain everything through repeated counts of seven, making it appear like astrology. Yet Gurumahan affirms that what He truly knows is only zero. For within zero, everything exists in its entirety. Abiding as zero brings no conflict; difficulties arise only when we add our own numbers, our thoughts, notions, and identities.
Therefore, when approaching Maha Sakthi Yogam and other courses at Thirumoorthi Hills, one should not come as a person who believes they already know everything, but as pure zero (utmost humility). Those who come in this state of nothingness receive blessings in abundance. Within zero itself lies an immense, boundless power. The entire universe is like zero, so is the earth, so is an atom and the energy within the atom. Therefore, there is nothing other than God, because God is that which exists as everything.

In the 7th Velvi discourse (1997), Gurumahan explains that when one firmly abides in the Mei-Uarvu awakened through Kundalini initiation, it slowly matures into a Kalpa Vriksha—a wish-fulfilling tree that naturally bestows every grace and boon.
Among all arts, the foremost art praised by all sages is this Brahma Vidya. If we hold on to this Brahma Vidya, if we firmly embrace it, everything will come to us naturally. That is why one of our disciples would say, “I do not know calculations at all; I never keep accounts or figures in my mind. Yet why does abundance come to me?” The reason is this, through the disciplined practice of meditation.
In the same way, another disciple also possessed many noble powers. Though those powers existed within him, they remained dormant. What happens through meditation? They manifest outwardly. Why do I speak to you about this divine nature? Because it has been realized through meditation alone. Therefore, meditation reveals to us the divine nature within us and the powers that already reside in us.
That is why ability itself is our true wealth. Each person’s abilities manifests during the Holy Penance. In ancient times, there were innumerable hardships. We have not suffered the hardships that Paranjothi Gnanavallal endured, but he went through immense difficulties. Only after 21 years of various disciplines and practices did they systematize and offer this Kundalini path.
At the first stage, initiation was given while sitting in Malasana. Even while giving the third stage of Sahasrara initiation, the state of purification, the person who received initiation should shave their heads at night and give initiation head to head. Countless methods were followed to ensure that this state of awareness did not waver.
In our own early days too, we had to make many efforts to hold on to MeiUnarvu, the divine vibration. Why? Because while living amid worldly surroundings, there are many distractions. MeiUnarvu feels stable while one remains in ashram (Thirumoorththi Hills), but once one moves away, it begins to falter. The reason is the surrounding environment. Therefore, by remembering, “From anywhere, grace shall descend,” we must cling to the Divine.
In those days, to ensure that MeiUnarvu was not lost, they would not even wash their foreheads while washing their faces. For if that spot were touched, the awareness would slip away somewhere else. The reason for such practices was that complete devotion to divine awareness had not yet blossomed.
After attaining MeiUnarvu, that alone must be held onto. Because we lack intense yearning for the divine, it does not remain steady. A child is visible to the eyes and we hold the child dearly; when it leaves us, we are unable to bear the separation. But this Divine vibration (MeiUnarvu) is beyond the senses and invisible to the eyes; therefore, holding on to it is more difficult.
Even after grasping MeiUnarvu, it does not immediately grant experiences. Gradually, that awareness transforms into wisdom, and that wisdom becomes a Kalpavriksha, a Kamadhenu, a wish-fulfilling source, through which everything one thinks of is granted. Whatever a person thinks while seated beneath the Kalpavriksha will surely come to him.

In this discourse from the 7th Velvi (1997), Gurumahan explains the deep significance of offering annadāna to yogis.
இந்த உரை 1997 ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த 7வது வேள்வியில் குருமகான் கூறிய அன்னதானத்தின் ஆழமான அர்த்தத்தை விளக்குகிறது.
Offering satvic food to a yogi is the greatest of all charities. Compared to feeding countless people, offering food to a virtuous person, a pure soul, a yogi, is the highest act of generosity of all forms of giving.
Therefore, let people cultivate the noble human quality of generosity, and by organizing this annadanam (food offering) every month, may they help bring about a Sathya Yuga through selfless, voluntary yogis.
May this annadanam, which relieves the hunger of those who come with such selfless intent, uplift your life and elevate your family as well.
